2025 F1 Academy Season
The 2025 F1 Academy season is the third running of F1 Academy, an all-female, Formula 4-level, open-wheel racing championship founded by and organized under the management of Formula Motorsport Limited. The championship is the second season run in support of selected rounds of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship with 10 of the 18 drivers' cars sporting liveries sponsored by the 10 teams competing in Formula One during 2025. Prema Racing entered the season as the defending teams' champion after clinching the title at the final race of the 2024 season in Abu Dhabi. Entries F1 Academy is a spec series; all teams competing with an identical Tatuus F4-T421 chassis and tyre compounds developed by Pirelli. F1 Academy
F1 Academy is a female-only, Formula 4-level Formula racing, single-seater racing championship founded by the Formula One Group. The championship is a One-design racing, spec series, meaning that all teams compete with an identical Tatuus F4-T421 Monocoque#Race cars, chassis and tyre compounds developed by Pirelli. Each car is powered by a 174-horsepower Turbocharger, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine developed by Autotecnica Motori, a Tatuus subsidiary. Courtney Crone (born March 7, 2001) is an American racing driver who competes in F1 Academy for ART Grand Prix as part of the Haas Driver Development Program. Crone previously competed in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge and the USAC Western Midget Series. Career Early career Crone started racing in quarter midgets in 2005, at just four years old. At age 11 she started racing Junior Speedway, winning three track championships in the 150cc Motorcycle class before stepping up to the 250cc class. Crone won the 2016 Perris Auto Speedway Young Guns Championship in Sprint Cars with six wins. ART Grand Prix is a French motor racing team that competes in formula single-seaters in Europe. In 2012, it competed in the GP2 Series and GP3 Series as Lotus GP to reflect sponsorship from British sports and racing car manufacturer Lotus. The team competed as Lotus ART in 2011. The McLaren Driver Development Programme, formerly known as the McLaren Young Driver Programme, is a driver development programme operated by McLaren. It is intended to offer year-by-year guidance, assistance and endorsement to help promising young racers climb the motorsport ladder. The programme was also formerly known as the McLaren-Honda Young Driver Programme and the McLaren-Mercedes Young Driver Support Programme, reflecting engine deals with Honda and Mercedes, respectively.
