The 2025 Copa Colsanitas Zurich was a professional women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the 27th edition of the Copa Colsanitas, tournament and part of the WTA 250 tournaments on the 2025 WTA Tour. WTA 250 Tournaments
WTA 250 is a category of tennis tournaments in the Women's Tennis Association tour, implemented since the reorganization of the schedule in 2021. Earlier these events were classified as WTA International tournaments, WTA International Tournaments. At their introduction in 2021, WTA 250 tournaments' prize money was approximately $250,000. As of 2025 WTA Tour, 2025 season, this has risen to $275,094. The ranking points awarded to the winners of these tournaments are 250. This compares to 2,000 points for winning a Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam tournament ("Major"), up to 1,500 points for winning the WTA Finals, 1000 points for winning a WTA 1000 tournament, and 500 for winning a WTA 500 tournament. A wild card (also wildcard or wild-card and also known as an at-large berth or at-large bid) is an invitation to a tournament or a playoff berth awarded to a team or individual that does not qualify via an automatic bid. In some events, wildcards are chosen freely by the organizers. Other events have fixed rules. Emily Appleton (born 1 September 1999) is a British tennis player. She has career-high rankings by the WTA of world No. 348 in singles, achieved on 22 July 2024, and No. 79 in doubles, set on 24 February 2025. Leonie Küng (born 21 October 2000) is a Swiss tennis player. As a qualifier, she reached the singles final at the Junior Wimbledon Championships in 2018.
