2025 Aussie Racing Car Series
The 2025 Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series is an upcoming motorsport series for Aussie Racing Cars. It is the 25th year of national competition in the category. Aussie Racing Cars are a miniature silhouette racing car class, styled as scaled-down versions of sports cars including the Mustang and Camaro used in the Supercars Championship, and powered by a 1300cc motorcycle engine. Calendar The 2025 calendar involves the series supporting the Supercars Championship at four events, as well as the GT World Challenge Australia, and the Australian Superbike Championship. The remaining round will be part of the Trophy Tour, a new event series for 2025. Aussie Racing Cars (ARC), currently known as the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars under sponsorship, is an Australian motor racing category. ARC is a motorcycle powered silhouette racing car class created by former touring car racing driver Phil Ward and influenced by the American Legends car racing, Legends category. Aussie Racing Cars was developed as a Major National Category supporting the V8 Supercars under an exclusive Category Management Agreement (CMA) with the Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS). History Initially, the cars were based on caricatures of 1940 Ford Coupe and Holden FJ, FJ Holden body styles. The 2025 Supercars Championship (known for commercial reasons as the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship) is a motor racing series for Supercars Championship, Supercars. It is the 27th running of the Supercars Championship and the 29th series in which Supercars have contested the Australian Touring Car Championship, the premier title in Australian motorsport. 2025 Australian National Trans Am Series
The 2025 Australian National Trans Am Series (commercially titled 2025 Trico National Trans Am Series) is a national motor racing series featuring conducted using TA2-class cars. The series is organised by Australian Racing Group and is one of two national racing series conducted using this car class; the other is the TA2 Racing Muscle Car Series. The 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia (commercially titled 2025 Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia) is a national motor racing series conducted using spec Porsche 911 GT3#992 GT3 Cup (2021–), Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Cup cars. The series is one of the main support categories for the Supercars series, supporting eight of the thirteen events in 2025. It is sanctioned by Motorsport Australia. The 2025 Kumho FIA TCR World Tour will be the third season of the TCR World Tour, an international touring car racing series for TCR cars. Effectively succeeding the WTCR series, it will also be the eleventh season of international TCR competition dating back to the 2015 TCR International Series. The season will consisted of eight events selected from a number of TCR series worldwide. 2025 Formula Regional Australia Championship
The 2025 AU3 Championship was a planned Australian racing series for Formula Regional open-wheeler race cars. It was scheduled to be the inaugural season of the AU3 Championship, organized by the promoter of the 2024 Australian Formula Open, Australian Formula Open series, two-time Australian Drivers' Championship, Australian Gold Star winner Tim Macrow. The championship was to feature drivers competing in cars that conform to the current FIA Formula Regional regulations. Drivers were to compete to win a fully-funded multi-day test program with Hillspeed, a GB3 Championship team. After customs issues arose when the series' cars were shipped to Australia, the opening round was canceled, before the planned second round was then also canceled on short notice before the series' organizers confirmed that due to these delays and lack of interest by drivers and teams, the inaugural season would now be held in 2026, thereby canceling the planned 2025 season in its entirety. The 2025 GT4 Australia Series (commercially titled 2025 Monochrome GT4 Australia Series) is an Australian motorsport competition for GT4 cars. The championship is the 2nd season of a standalone GT4 Australia series having split from the Australian Production Car Series at the end of 2023, and is the second season of the championship being solely managed by the SRO Motorsports Group. The season began on 4 April at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and will end on 2 November at the Hampton Downs Motorsport Park. 2025 GT World Challenge Australia
The 2025 GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS is an Australian motor sport competition for GT3 cars. This is the second season since the SRO Motorsports Group took over sole management of the series. The season started at Phillip Island on April 5 and will finish at Hampton Downs in New Zealand on November 2. Calendar The provisional six-round calendar was announced at the 2024 SRO Press conference at the 24 Hours of Spa. For the first time the series had a media day at Phillip Island. On 18 October, the calendar was updated, in which the Queensland round was shifted to June and the championship will return to Sandown Raceway after 3 years. Unlike previous years where most race weekends were run by another promoter as part of the SpeedSeries event series, in 2025 the SRO has taken over as event promoter as well as category promoter. Wanneroo Raceway
Wanneroo Raceway, currently known as CARCO.com.au Raceway for naming rights reasons, is a motorsport circuit located in Neerabup, approximately north of Perth in Western Australia. It was built by the WA Sporting Car Club. The circuit was originally known as Wanneroo Park and the first race meet took place in March 1969. Initially the major race per year was a 6-hour Le Mans style race for sedans and sports cars known as the Six Hour Le Mans. However, as interest dulled in that event, production car racing took over as the major race type. In 1979, the Australian Grand Prix was held for the first and so far only time at Wanneroo Raceway which coincided with the opening of the new pits and paddock area to the west of the circuit.
