2024–25 Moldovan Cup
The 2024–25 Moldovan Cup () was the 34th season of the annual Moldovan Association football, football cup competition. The competition started on 4 September 2024 with the preliminary round and concluded with the final on 24 May 2025. As the winners, Sheriff Tiraspol qualified for the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League#First qualifying round, first qualifying round of the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League. Format and Schedule Home advantage for the first and second round is granted to the team from the lower league. In case both teams are from the same division, the team ranked higher in the current league season will play their tie away.Home advantage for the round of 16 is granted to the team from the 2024–25 Moldovan Super Liga, Super Liga. The home team in the first legs of the quarter with semi-finals and the final will be the team ranked higher in the current league season. Sheriff Arena
Sheriff Arena (; ) is home to FC Sheriff Tiraspol, Sheriff Tiraspol, a football team based in Tiraspol, capital of Transnistria, a breakaway region of Moldova. It is owned by the local Sheriff (company), Sheriff corporation. It has a capacity of 12,746. The stadium occupies more than 40 hectares and consists of the main field plus five other fields, training fields, a covered indoor arena for winter use as well as a soccer school for children and on-site residences for the players of Sheriff Tiraspol. In June 2022, UEFA ordered that no European games would be permitted to be played in Transnistria, as a direct consequence of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Sheriff played all of their home fixtures in the 2022–23 UEFA Europa League and 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League at Zimbru Stadium in Chișinău. FCM Ungheni
Fotbal Club Municipal Ungheni, commonly known as FCM Ungheni, is a Moldovan football club based in Ungheni, Moldova. They were founded in 2000 and they play in Liga 1, the second division in Moldovan football. History The club was found in 2000 by the local authorities as FCM Ungheni and took part in Moldovan "B" Division. In season 2003–04 club was overtaken by local businessman Ghenadie Mitriuc and renamed to FC Spartac. The authorities did not accept this and took the club back and renamed it again, this time to FC Moldova-03. In season 2005–06 team had a debut in Moldovan "A" Division. In 2007 club suffers from financial problems. Local authorities doesn't support it anymore. Thus Ghenadie Mitriuc (at that time vice mayor) again takes club under his control. FC Speranța Drochia is a Moldovan association football, football club based in Drochia. They play in the Moldovan Liga 2, the third tier of Moldovan football. History Founded in 1976, the club spent two seasons in the Soviet Second League, after which it played in the football championship of the Moldavian SSR. After Moldova's independence in 1991, Speranța played in the first three seasons of the Moldovan Moldovan "A" Division, second tier, before the club was dissolved in 1996.
