2024–25 Logan Cup
The 2024–25 Logan Cup was the 31st edition of the Logan Cup, a first-class cricket competition in Zimbabwe, which started on 27 October 2024 and concluded on 8 March 2025. The Mountaineers were the defending champions. They retained their title by defeating Eagles in the final round. Points table Champions. * 10 points for a win, 6 for a tie, 5 for a draw, 0 for a loss. An extra 2 points are awarded for an innings victory. * Batting bonus points: 1 point each for reaching 200, 250, 300, and 350 runs in each innings. * Bowling bonus points: 1 point each for taking 3, 5, 7, and 9 wickets in each innings Match summary The total team points at the end of each round are listed. Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004, is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team, organising Test tours, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. Craig Ervine
Craig Richard Ervine (born 19 August 1985) is a Zimbabwean international cricketer who captains Zimbabwe in Test and ODIs. Ervine is a left-handed batter. He was born in Harare and has played Test and limited overs cricket for the Zimbabwe national cricket team and first-class cricket for a variety of Zimbabwean sides in the Logan Cup. He holds an Irish passport. In January 2022, in the opening fixture of the series against Sri Lanka, Ervine played in his 100th One Day International (ODI) match. Kwekwe ( ), formerly known as Que Que, is a city in the Midlands province in central Zimbabwe. The city has a population of 119,863 within the city limits, as of the 2022 census, making it the 7th-largest city in Zimbabwe and the second-most populous city in the Midlands, behind Gweru. Kwekwe Sports Club
The Kwekwe Sports Club in Kwekwe is the home ground of one of Zimbabwe's four provincial cricket sides, Mid West Rhinos. The Cricket field, cricket ground has been host to several First-class cricket, first class and one day matches and has even hosted some internationals – most notably between Zimbabwe cricket team, Zimbabwe and Kenya national cricket team, Kenya in 2002. Kwekwe also hosts a variety of touring sides versus Zimbabwe 'A' teams. In 2018 Kwekwe Sports Club formed a theatre section named KKSC Theatre. Luke Jongwe
Luke Mafuwa Jongwe (born 6 February 1995) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He is a right-handed batter and right-arm medium pace bowler. Jongwe was selected for three ODIs against South Africa. He made his One Day International debut at Harare Sports Club against South Africa on 17 August 2014, where he bowled six overs and gave away 45 runs without taking a wicket and then scored 19 runs in a losing cause. Antum Naqvi
Antum Amir Naqvi (; born 5 April 1999) is a Belgium-born Zimbabwean cricketer, who plays as a right-arm off-spinner and right-hand batter. Personal life Naqvi was born in Brussels, Belgium, to Belgian parents whose families had migrated to Belgium from Pakistan and India. When he was four years old his family moved to Australia, where he was educated at The Hills Sports High School in Sydney. He is a qualified commercial pilot. Sean Colin Williams (born 26 September 1986) is a Zimbabwean Zimbabwe cricket team, international cricketer who is a former captain of the national team in Test cricket. Ernest Masuku (born 31 December 1992) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Matabeleland Tuskers in the 2016–17 Logan Cup on 17 May 2017. He made his List A debut for Matabeleland Tuskers in the 2016–17 Pro50 Championship on 25 May 2017. He was the leading wicket-taker in the 2017–18 Logan Cup, with 32 dismissals in seven matches. Benjamin Jack Curran (born 7 June 1996) is an English-Zimbabwean cricketer who previously played for Northamptonshire. He made his international debut for Zimbabwe on 17 December 2024. Forster Mutizwa (born 24 August 1985) is a Zimbabwean cricket umpire and former cricketer. He played as a right-handed lower middle-order batsman and wicket-keeper. Playing career He was first called up to the national team for a tour of Bangladesh but did not feature in a match.
