2024–25 EuroCup Basketball
The 2024–25 EuroCup Basketball season was the 23rd season of Euroleague Basketball's secondary level professional club basketball tournament. It was the 17th season since it was renamed from the ULEB Cup to the EuroCup, and the second season under the new title sponsorship name of BKT. The season began on 24 September 2024 and ended on 16 April 2025 with the Finals. Team allocation A total of 20 teams from 12 countries participate in the 2024–25 EuroCup season. On June 17, 2024, Euroleague Basketball confirmed the team list for this season. EuroCup Basketball
EuroCup Basketball, commonly known as the EuroCup and currently called BKT EuroCup for sponsorship reasons, is an annual professional basketball club competition organized by Euroleague Basketball. The league is regarded as Euroleague Basketball's second-tier professional basketball club tournament. Founded as ULEB Cup in 2002, the competition lasted until 2008 when a new competition was introduced after an agreement between ULEB and FIBA under the name of ''EuroCup'' for the 2008–09 Eurocup Basketball, 2008–09 season, following a change in format. Given that the FIBA EuroChallenge was known as EuroCup until 2008, a new era of stronger cooperation between ULEB and FIBA Europe was set in 2008. Aquila Basket Trento, also known for sponsorship reasons as Dolomiti Energia Trento, is an Italian professional basketball club based in Trento, Trent, Trentino. It was founded in 1995 as an amalgamation of two local clubs, going from the amateur divisions to the first division Lega Basket Serie A, LBA in less than a decade. The 2023–24 Israeli Basketball Premier League, for sponsorship reasons Ligat Winner, was the 70th season of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. The season started on 6 October 2023. The 2023–24 ACB season, also known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, was the 41st season of the top Spanish professional basketball league, since its establishment in 1983. It started on 23 September 2023 with the regular season and ended on 12 June 2024 with the finals. European Professional Club Basketball System
Professional men's basketball clubs in Europe can compete in a number of different competitions, including national leagues, regional (multi-national) leagues, and continental competitions.
