2024 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters
The 2024 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters was a professional snooker tournament that took place from 30 August to 7 September 2024 at Green Halls in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was the inaugural edition of the tournament and was part of the 2024–25 snooker season. The tournament featured a total prize fund of £2,302,000, the second-highest after the World Championship. It is one of snooker's four major tournaments. Judd Trump won the tournament, defeating Mark Williams 109 in the final. There were 91 century breaks made in the event, the highest being a 147 by Noppon Saengkham. Format There were 17 amateur wildcard players from the Middle East included in the draw, including 7 from Saudi Arabia. Mark Davis (snooker Player)
Mark Davis (born 12 August 1972) is an English professional snooker player from St Leonards in Sussex. He became professional in 1991, and for many years was considered something of a journeyman; however, he vastly improved his game in the late 2000s, and as a result in 2012 made his debut in the top 16. The highlights of his career so far have been winning the Benson & Hedges Championship in 2002 (earning him an appearance at the Masters), and the six-red snooker world championships three times (in 2009, 2012 and 2013). Andrew Higginson (born 13 December 1977) is an English former professional snooker player from Widnes, Cheshire. He is best known for being the surprise finalist of the 2007 Welsh Open. Stan Moody (born 14 September 2006) is a British professional snooker player from Halifax, West Yorkshire. In February 2023 he won the WSF World Junior Championship, and with it earned a two-year card on the World Snooker Tour starting with 2023–24 snooker season. Mohammed Shehab
Mohammed Shehab (born 1976) is a former professional snooker player from the United Arab Emirates. The winner of the Snooker Singles at the 2007 Asian Indoor Games, Shehab has enjoyed good form in the six-red variant format, most notably at the 2018 Six-red World Championship, where he reached the quarter-finals, defeating reigning World Champion Mark Williams in the last 16.
