2024 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie
The 2024 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie is the 47th season of the German endurance series (formerly VLN) run at the Nürburgring, Nürburgring Nordschleife, and fifth run as the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS). The season will begin on 6 April and end on 16 November. Calendar Due to legal dispute with the track owners over race dates, the 2024 season only contains 5 weekends compared to last season's 7 weekends. Additionally, the qualifier races for the 2024 24 Hours of Nürburgring will count for this season's championship. Classes Entries are split into multiple different classes. Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie
The Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) is an organisation of motorsport clubs of which each hosts one event of a nine-race (eight in 2024) series held on the Nürburgring, Nürburgring Nordschleife. Participants of NLS races range from amateurs in small road legal cars with rollcages and harnesses to professional factory teams racing Group GT3 cars. The NLS series is closely associated with the 24 Hours Nürburgring, Nürburgring 24 Hours, as it has similar rules (mostly), and mainly the same participants. In the calendar, several weeks around the 24h date in May/June are taken off to allow teams to prepare for the 24h, and to fix their cars afterwards. However, the 24h is no longer a part of the championship. The championship is known for its large quantity of cars as well as its variety, with an average of 113 cars starting per race in 2023. The Ferrari 296 (Type F171) is a sports car built since 2022 by the Italian company Ferrari. The 296 is a two-seater, offered as a GTB coupe and a GTS folding hard-top convertible. It is a plug-in hybrid with a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and its powertrain combines a twin-turbocharged 120-degree bank angle V6, with an electric drive fitted in between the engine and gearbox. The 296 can be driven in electric-only mode for short distances, to comply with use in urban zero-emission zones. Tim Heinemann (born 23 October 1997) is a German driver. He won the inaugural DTM Trophy in 2020, driving for HP Racing International, followed by a second title in 2022.
