picture info	2024 NLL Season The 2024 National Lacrosse League season, formally known as the 2023–2024 season, is the 37th in the history of the NLL. The season began on December 1, 2023, and ends with the NLL final in May 2024. The league also announced a new standings and schedule format. The teams are no longer separated into 2 conferences, and will now play within the same standings. Everyone will play each other at least once, with 4 flex games. The top 8 will face each other in the playoffs. On November 16, the NLL announced the NLL unBOXed Series, a new series of games designed to activate their National Lacrosse League#NLL unBOXed Expansion Markets, unBOXed markets. 2024 NLL UnBOXed Series, The first game in the series took place on February 16, 2024 at the Place Bell, in Laval, Quebec between the Toronto Rock and the New York Riptide. The NLL currently has fifteen teams: ten in the United States and five in Canada. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the NHL and NBA. Unlike other box lacrosse leagues which play in the summer, the NLL plays its games in the winter and spring, from December to June. 	San Diego Seals The San Diego Seals are a box lacrosse team in the National Lacrosse League. They play their home games at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California. The 2018-2019 season was their inaugural season. History On August 30, 2017, the NLL awarded an expansion franchise to the city of San Diego and owner Joseph Tsai, co-founder of the Chinese e-commerce platform Alibaba Group. Tsai, a La Jolla resident, "played lacrosse at Yale University and retains a passion for the sport." They are members of the Western Division of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and play their home games on WestJet Field at Scotiabank Saddledome. The team name is derived from the roughnecks who work drilling rigs in Alberta's oil and gas industry. The team is affectionately known by fans as the ''Riggers''. The Roughnecks were founded in 2001, their first season was 2002, and they have qualified for the post-season every year from 2003 to 2016. 	Vancouver Warriors The Vancouver Warriors are a professional box lacrosse team in the National Lacrosse League. The team moved from Everett, Washington, for the 2014 NLL season. 	Mitch De Snoo Mitchell "Mitch" de Snoo (born October 22, 1992) is a professional lacrosse player for the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League and the Oakville Rock of Major Series Lacrosse. Hailing from Oshawa, Ontario, de Snoo attended Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School, where he played four years of lacrosse and ice hockey. He played collegiality at Drexel University, where he earned a degree in biomedical engineering. de Snoo played junior lacrosse for the Clarington Green Gaels and the Whitby Warriors, with whom he won the Minto Cup in 2013. 	Josh Byrne Josh Byrne (born April 15, 1994) is a Canadian professional lacrosse player for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League and Chaos Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League. 	Dhane Smith Dhane Smith (born January 22, 1992) is a professional lacrosse player for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League and Chaos Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League. Smith began his career in 2009 with the Kitchener-Waterloo Braves of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League, where he won the Green Gael Trophy as the league's MVP in 2012.
