2024 Merdeka Tournament
The 2024 Merdeka Tournament () was the 43rd edition of the tournament organized by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). The tournament took place on September 4–8, 2024 featuring four participants. The host nation, Malaysia emerged champion for the record 13th time after defeating Lebanon 1–0 in the final. Defending champions Tajikistan, were defeated by Lebanon in the semi-finals. Tajikistan however managed to salvage a podium finish by winning the third place match against the Philippines via a penalty shootout after regulation time. 2023 Merdeka Tournament
The 2023 Merdeka Tournament was the 42nd edition of the Merdeka Tournament, tournament which was organised by the Football Association of Malaysia. The tournament, which featured three participants, took place between 13 and 17 October. Tajikistan national football team, Tajikistan emerged as the champion of the tournament for their first title after beating host Malaysia national football team, Malaysia 2–0 at the final. Participating nations The teams were announced by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in March 2023. The draw took place on 8 August 2023.
