2024 MPBL All-Star Game
The 2024 MPBL All-Star Game was an exhibition game played on September 7, 2024, during the 2024 season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). It was the fifth edition of the MPBL All-Star Game, which took place at the Mayor Vitaliano D. Agan Coliseum in Zamboanga City, the home arena of the Zamboanga Master Sardines. The North Division won against the South Division for the second consecutive year with a score of 95–91. Will McAloney of the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards was declared the All-Star Game MVP. All-Star Game Coaches The two coaches of each division's highest-ranked team up to that point coached the all-star rosters of their respective divisions. Dennis Pineda
Dennis "Delta" Garcia Pineda (born May 6, 1974) is a Filipino politician, basketball head coach and businessman from the province of Pampanga in the Philippines. He currently serves as the Governor of Pampanga. He was a former Vice Governor of the province in the past years, and he was elected in 2019 as the 33rd Governor of the province. Previously, he served as the mayor of Lubao from 2001 until 2010. Gregory William Slaughter (born May 19, 1988) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka of the B2 League. Shej Roi R. Sumang (born December 12, 1990) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the NorthPort Batang Pier of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The Caloocan Batang Kankaloo, also shortened as the Batang Kankaloo, are a Filipino professional basketball team based in Caloocan. The team primarily competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as one of 11 active teams based in Metro Manila. Pangasinan Heatwaves
The Pangasinan Heatwaves are a Filipino professional basketball team based in Calasiao, Pangasinan. The team competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as a member of the league's North Division and play their home games at the Calasiao Sports Complex. The team began play in the 2024 season as the first team to be based in the Ilocos Region. They joined the league alongside the Abra Weavers, the only other team based in Northern Luzon. Michael Vincent Galang Juico (born September 24, 1989) is a Filipino professional basketball player who plays for the Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He was drafted 30th overall in the 2017 PBA draft by the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. Although he had a short PBA career, he has since won titles in other leagues, both in the amateur and professional level. The South Cotabato Warriors are a Filipino professional basketball team based in General Santos.
