2024 GT4 European Series
The 2024 GT4 European Series is the 17th season of the GT4 European Series organised by the SRO Motorsports Group. The season started on 5 April at Circuit Paul Ricard and will end on 30 November at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. Calendar The Calendar for the 2024 season was unveiled on 2 July 2023 during the 2023 24 Hours of Spa The 2023 24 Hours of Spa (also known as the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa) was the 76th running of the 24 Hours of Spa. The race took place from June 29 to July 2, 2023. The race was a part of both the 2023 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup .... GT4 European Series
The GT4 European Series is a sports car championship created and organised by SRO Motorsports Group. It is a pro/am championship which followed a formula similar to the FIA GT3 European Championship, which was itself derived from the FIA GT Championship which utilized the GT1 and GT2 classes. The GT4 class cars are the least powerful of the four classes, yet are equalised in order to allow driving skill to become key. History Following the successful introduction of the FIA GT3 European Championship in 2006, the formula was expanded to include usage by other nationally based professional championships such as the British GT Championship, Belcar, Australian GT Championship and German ADAC GT Masters. While the FIA GT3 European Championship continues, the SRO felt that a true amateur championship was needed in order to complement GT3 which allowed a certain level of professional driver to compete. Hockenheim
Hockenheim () is a town in northwest Baden-Württemberg, Germany, about 20 km south of Mannheim and 10 km west of Walldorf. The Audi R8 (Type 4S) is the second generation of the R8 sports car manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Audi. The Type 4S is based on the Lamborghini Huracán and shares its platform and engine. The Type 4S was introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and its production began in late 2015. Nico Verdonck
Nicolas Verdonck (born 5 December 1985) is a Belgian racing driver. He was born in Brussels. Career Formula Renault Verdonck competed in Formula Renault 1600 in 2003, his first year in single seaters. His race engineer was Tim Wright. Formula 3000 Verdonck rose to prominence when he competed in the 2004 International Formula 3000 season with the Astromega team. Although the step up in power and downforce from FRenault to F3000 is a big one, Verdonck was given a degree of stability by the fact that he kept Wright as his race engineer. However, he only scored one point, which was not enough to get him a drive in the new GP2 Series for 2005.
