The 2024 FIM Long Track of Nations was the 16th annual Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Team Long Track World Championship. The final took place on 7 September 2024 in Morizès, France. Germany won the event for a tenth time, while defending champions Netherlands finished last. FIM Long Track Of Nations
The FIM Long Track of Nations, formerly known as the ''Long Track Team World Championship'', is an annual track racing event since 2007 organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). The championship has been won by Germany national long track team, Germany ten times. The 2020 Championships in Morizès, France and the 2021 Championships in Roden, Drenthe, Roden, Netherlands were both cancelled, due to the issues regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Zach Wajtknecht
Zach Wajtknecht (born 8 February 1998) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Great Britain. Career At an early age Wajtknecht became a double World Champion, twice triumphing in the FIM 125cc Grasstrack Youth Gold Trophy. He followed up these successes by being crowned British 250cc Youth Champion in 2013 and winner of the FIM 250cc Longtrack Youth World Cup in 2014. These successes led to Zach being awarded the prestigious Pinhard trophy, a trophy he described himself as being "over the moon" to win. Wajtknecht was handed his big break in speedway by the newly reformed National League Birmingham Brummies ahead of the 2015 season, the team's first season in the third tier of British Speedway. The team was put together by former manager Phil Morris, the newly appointed FIM Race Director for the Speedway Grand Prix series. Mika Meijer (born 5 April 2001) is a motorcycle speedway and Long track motorcycle racing, long track rider from the Netherlands. Career Meijer came to prominence when he reached the U19 final of the 2017 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship. In 2020, he competed for the 'Young Europe' team during the 2020 Team Speedway Junior European Championship final. Meijer has concentrated on Long track racing in recent years and finished 11th in the 2022 Individual Long Track World Championship and competed in the 2023 Individual Long Track World Championship. His clubs have included MSC Schwarme in Germany, Smålänningarna in Sweden and in Vojens Speedway Klub in Denmark. Kenneth Kruse Hansen (born 19 October 1987 in Herlev, Denmark) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Career Hansen represented Denmark in the 2006 Under-21 Speedway World Cup in Rybnik and won a bronze medal. He started the 2007 season with the Workington Comets in the Premier League but lost his place after sustaining a broken wrist. He did however reach the final of the Danish Individual Speedway Championship in 2007. It was announced in 2008 that the Wolverhampton Wolves had signed Hansen on a full contract. He spent both the 2007 and 2008 seasons with the Midlands club before switching to Peterborough Panthers for the 2009 Elite League speedway season. He concentrated on riding in Poland for the next few years before returning to Britain to ride for the Coventry Bees in the 2014 Elite League speedway season. Tero Kalevi Aarnio (born 17 April 1984) is a motorcycle speedway rider from Finland. Career Aarnio was a member of Finland team at 2007 Speedway World Cup. This led to his signing for Berwick Bandits for the 2008 and 2009 seasons. He then joined Scunthorpe Scorpions in 2010 and 2011, and Workington Comets in 2012 and 2013.
