2024 Caribbean Series
The 2024 Caribbean Series was the 66th edition of the Caribbean Series club baseball tournament, played from February 1 to February 9, 2024, at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida, United States. This was the first time since the 1991 series that the Caribbean Series was held outside of Latin America, as well as the first Caribbean Series that was held at a Major League Baseball ballpark. The series brought together the champions of seven professional baseball leagues: the four full members of the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela), plus three guests (Curaçao, Nicaragua and Panama). Tiburones de la Guaira won their first championship, representing Venezuela. José Mayorga
José Agustin Mayorga (born August 20, 1992) is a Panamanian professional baseball coach and former player who is the current manager of the Vancouver Canadians of the Northwest League. He has also managed the Panama national baseball team and the Federales de Chiriquí of the Panamanian Professional Baseball League. Juan Gabriel Castro (born June 20, 1972), is a Mexican professional baseball coach and former infielder, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles, and Philadelphia Phillies, during his 17-year big league career. The Naranjeros de Hermosillo () are a professional baseball team based in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. They compete in the Mexican Pacific League (LMP). The fourth edition of the Caribbean Series (''Serie del Caribe'') was played in 1952. It was held from February 20 through February 26, featuring the champion baseball teams of Cuba, Leones del Habana; Panama, Carta Vieja Yankees; Puerto Rico, Senadores de San Juan and Venezuela, Cervecería Caracas. The format consisted of 12 games, each team facing the other teams twice, and the games were played at Panama City. The Gigantes de Rivas (English: Rivas Giants) are a professional baseball team based in Rivas, Nicaragua. They compete in the Nicaraguan Professional Baseball League (LBPN). The Tiburones de La Guaira () are a baseball team in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).
