2024 All-Australian Team
The 2024 All-Australian team represents the best performed Australian Football League (AFL) players during the 2024 season. It was announced in August as a complete Australian rules football team of 22 players. The team is honorary and does not play any games. Selection panel The selection panel for the 2024 All-Australian team consisted of chairman Andrew Dillon, Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Nathan Buckley, Kane Cornes, Abbey Holmes, Glen Jakovich, Matthew Pavlich, Laura Kane and Josh Mahoney. The All-Australian team is an all-star team of Australian rules football in Australia, Australian rules footballers, selected by a panel at the end of each season. It represents a complete team, including an interchange bench, of the best-performed players during the season, traditionally led by that season's AFL Grand Final, premiership coach. Despite the name's implication, the All-Australian team is usually ceremonial in modern times. Though the AFL played an State of Origin for Bushfire Relief Match, All-Star match in 2020, it was the first in 12 years, and the difference in skill level between the All-Australian team and the nearest international competitor is currently too large for any contest to be competitive. Caleb Serong (born 9 February 2001) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for Fremantle in the Australian Football League (AFL). A midfielder known for his ball-winning ability and consistency, Serong has been the co-vice-captain of Fremantle since 2023.
