The 2024 American League Championship Series was a best-of-seven playoff in Major League Baseball's 2024 postseason. The top-seeded New York Yankees defeated the second-seeded Cleveland Guardians, four games to one, to become American League (AL) champions for the 41st time. Victor Joseph Carapazza (born July 6, 1979) is an American Major League Baseball umpire. He wears uniform number 19, and previously wore uniform number 85.
