2024 24 Hours Of Spa
The 2024 24 Hours of Spa (also known as the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, and as the Spa Centenary) was the 77th running of the 24 Hours of Spa and its centenary anniversary edition. The race took place from 29 to 30 June 2024. The race is part of both the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and the 2024 Intercontinental GT Challenge. Background Supporting the race weekend was the 2024 GT4 European Series, GT4 European Series, 2024 GT2 European Series, GT2 European Series, McLaren Trophy Europe, as well as some Spa Anniversary races from the Heritage Touring Cup and Endurance Racing Legends to celebrate the 100 years of the 24 Hours of Spa. Spa-Francorchamps
The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (), frequently referred to as ''Spa'', is a motor-racing circuit located in Stavelot, Belgium. It is the current venue of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix, hosting its first Grand Prix in 1925, and has held a Grand Prix every year since 1985 (except 2003 and 2006). Spa also hosts several other international events including the 24 Hours of Spa, the World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. It is also home to the Uniroyal Fun Cup 25 Hours of Spa, one of the longest motor races in the world. The circuit has undergone several redesigns through its history, most extensively in 1979 when the track was modified and shortened from a circuit using public roads to a permanent circuit due to safety concerns with the old circuit. Luca Stolz (born 29 July 1995) is a German racing driver who currently competes in the ADAC GT Masters and GT World Challenge Europe. Career Stolz began his racing career in 2007, competing in the Cadet class of the Belgian Karting Championship. He raced in karts until 2010, before moving into single-seaters in 2011. He made his debut in the 2011 ADAC Formel Masters, driving for URD Rennsport. In his maiden season of formula competition, Stolz finished 12th in the championship. Fabian Schiller (born 24 May 1997) is a German racing driver who currently competes in the Nürburgring Endurance Series. Career Junior formula Schiller began his racing career in karting at the age of 12, competing in the ADAC Kart Masters series. In 2012, he began competing in single-seater formula cars, taking part in the Formula BMW Talent Cup. The following season, Schiller stepped up to compete in the ADAC Formel Masters championship, competing for the Schiller Motorsport team run by his father and uncle.
