2023–24 LEB Plata Season
The 2023–24 LEB Plata season was the 24th season of the Spanish basketball third league. It started on 7 October 2023 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 18 May 2024 with the promotion playoffs. Segunda FEB
The Segunda FEB, formerly known as LEB 2 and LEB Plata, is the third basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system and the second basketball division organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation. Since 2019, three teams are promoted to Primera FEB and six teams are relegated to Tercera FEB. From the 2024–25 season it will be named Segunda FEB. CB Tizona
Club Baloncesto Tizona S.A.D., more commonly known as UBU Tizona by sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team based in Burgos, Castilla y León and plays in the Polideportivo El Plantío. The team currently plays in LEB Oro. History The club started in 2013 as the successor of CB Atapuerca, dissolved after failing to promote to Liga ACB, due to not fulfilling all the requirements. The name is a homage to former ''CB Espada Tizona'', the main club in Burgos during the 1970s and the 1980s, and was created as a Sociedad Anónima Deportiva with the aim to make easier a future promotion to ACB, goal achieved in its first season. Named Ford Burgos like its predecessor, the club promoted to Liga ACB in the 2013–14 season and did not fulfill all the necessary requirements to enter in the top flight, joining again the LEB Oro league. CB Benicarló
Club Baloncesto Benicarló, is a professional basketball team based in Benicarló, Valencian Community, that currently plays in LEB Plata. History 1969 is considered the year of foundation of the club as it was the year when Club Baloncesto OJE, the first team in the city, was registered. After playing since its foundation in the third division, the club promotes for the first time ever in 1987. In 2018 the club is selected to cover a vacant place in Liga EBA. Baskonia B is the reserve team of Baskonia. It currently plays in Tercera FEB, the fourth tier of Spanish basketball. History In the 2000–01 season, it played in Liga EBA with Tiago Splitter as its most important player. CB Tormes
Club Baloncesto Tormes is a Spanish professional basketball club based in Salamanca, Castile and León that currently plays in Liga EBA, the fourth tier of Spanish basketball. History CB Tormes was founded in March 2000, after splitting from UD Santa Marta, that created the basketball section in 1998. In their first half season as independent team, the club promoted to Liga EBA, where it played two seasons before resigning to the place in the league. In the second one, CB Tormes reached the last stage of the promotion playoffs to LEB Plata, but could not achieve the promotion after losing by 30 against CB Aracena. Club Bàsquet Cornellà is a professional basketball team based in Cornellà de Llobregat, Catalonia. The team currently plays in LEB Plata. Since the 1990s until 2010, CB Cornellà worked as farm team of FC Barcelona. Real Canoe Natación Club is the basketball team of this club based in Madrid, Spain. The section was founded in 1940. The men's team played in the top division of Spanish basketball from 1957 to 1965, but nowadays plays in LEB Oro. The women's team was Liga Femenina champion three times, but now plays in Liga Femenina 2. Basket Navarra Club is a professional Basketball team based in Pamplona, Navarra. The team currently plays in league LEB Plata. History Basket Navarra Club was founded in 2007 with the aim of creating a professional basketball team in Navarra. The club played its first year at LEB Bronce, league created in that season as the fourth division in Spanish basketball. After this first year, the club achieved a vacant berth in LEB Plata. In their second season at this league, the club played the semifinals of the promotion playoffs, but were defeated by CB Tíjola. Club Baloncesto Ciudad de Huelva was a professional basketball team based in Huelva, Andalucia. The last season, (2007–08) the team played in LEB Oro. History CB Ciudad de Huelva was founded in 1996.
