2023 Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference
The 2023 Premier Volleyball League Second All-Filipino Conference was the sixteenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League. The tournament began on October 15, 2023. This tournament was set to be the second post-pandemic import-laden conference known as the 2023 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, with the Angels set to defend their crown, but was made into a second All-Filipino Conference as a consequence of sanctions from the Philippine National Volleyball Federation. The conference not only marked the arrival of two debuting teams – Nxled Chameleons, the sister team of Akari Chargers, and Galeries Tower Highrisers, but it also marked the return of using a cross-over format for the semifinals which was last implemented on the same conference earlier this year which is the 2023 Premier Volleyball League First All-Filipino Conference. EJ Laure
Ennajie Cruz Laure (born July 31, 1997), better known as EJ Laure, is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a member and a former team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team, and a former Philippine national team member. Career High school Laure led the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Girls Volleyball Team to its last championship in Season 76 of UAAP Juniors Volleyball. She was hailed as best attacker and most valuable player. She also received the Best Server award in Season 74 and Best Receiver in Season 75. Collegiate Laure debuted her collegiate career playing for UST Golden Tigresses as a guest player in Shakey's V-League 11th Season 1st Conference. Jorge Edson
Jorge Edson Souza de Brito (born October 13, 1966), known as Jorge Edson, is a retired volleyball player from Brazil. He was a member of the Brazil men's national volleyball team that won the gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain by defeating the Netherlands (3-0) in the final. He played as a middle blocker. He was born in Porto Alegre. Coaching career Edson later became a coach. Akari (ASTRO-F) was an infrared astronomy satellite developed by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, in cooperation with institutes of Europe and Korea. It was launched on 21 February 2006, at 21:28 UTC (06:28, 22 February JST) by M-V rocket into Earth sun-synchronous orbit. Foton Tornadoes
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI). The team debuted in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 Grand Prix as the Foton Tornadoes. Heading to the 2020 season, the team was renamed to Chery Tiggo Crossovers. On March 10, 2021, the team announced it has joined the professional PVL. 2023 Premier Volleyball League First All-Filipino Conference
The 2023 Premier Volleyball League First All-Filipino Conference was the fourteenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League and its fifth conference as a professional league. The tournament began on February 4, 2023, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. Formerly known as the Open Conference, the conference was rebranded as the "All-Filipino Conference" to better reflect the fact that the tournament's participation is restricted to Filipino players, including Filipino-Foreigners. The Akari Chargers is a professional women's volleyball team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by Akari Lighting & Technology Corporation. The Nxled Chameleons (stylized as NXLED) is a professional women's volleyball team playing in the Premier Volleyball League of the Philippines.
