2023 Poland Darts Masters
The 2023 Superbet Poland Darts Masters was the first Professional Darts Corporation tournament organised in Poland, and the fourth entry in the 2023 World Series of Darts. The tournament featured 16 players (eight top-ranking players and eight regional qualifiers) and was held at the Arena COS Torwar in Warsaw, Poland on 7–8 July 2023. The event was announced on 23 March 2023, and betting company Superbet were announced as the sponsors on 29 June. Michael van Gerwen became the inaugural champion after defeating Dimitri Van den Bergh 8–3 in the final. The final average of Michael van Gerwen (113.22) was his highest average during a television tournament since 2017. Arena COS Torwar
The Central Sports Centre Torwar (formerly known as Hala Torwar, commonly referred to as the Arena COS Torwar) is an indoor arena in Warsaw, Poland. It opened in 1953 and seats 4,824 people in the stands, with up to an additional 1,480 seats available to add on the floor. It is located adjacent to Stadion Wojska Polskiego and is primarily used for popular music concerts, ice hockey and other indoor sports, and it is the home of the hockey team UHKS Mazowsze. Torwar Hall hosted the 2001 Saporta Cup final in which Maroussi BC defeated Elan Sportif Chalonnais. On 22–28 January 2007 the Hall hosted the 2007 European Figure Skating Championships and the arena hosted a Preliminary round group of the EuroBasket 2009. Nathan Aspinall
Nathan Aspinall (born 15 July 1991) is an English professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He won the 2019 UK Open with a 170 checkout in the final leg against former World Champion Rob Cross. Career Aspinall began playing in PDC Development and Challenge Tour events in 2012. His first semi-final in those came in 2013, where he lost 4–2 to Max Hopp. He won a two-year PDC Tour Card in 2015 through the Q School Order of Merit and qualified for the UK Open, where he beat Chris Dobey 5–1 and James Richardson 9–4, before losing 4–9 to James Wade in the fourth round. World Series Of Darts
The World Series of Darts is a series of darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation. Beginning in 2013, the World Series has comprised between two and seven tournaments across the world, where a mixture of the top-ranked PDC players take on local qualifiers in a knockout format. Krzysztof Chmielewski (born 20 September 1970) is a Polish professional darts player who played in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He has represented Poland at the PDC World Cup of Darts and WDF Europe Cup. He is the Polish Champion in steel-tip darts. Career Chmielewski began his career in the 1996, playing at the soft-tip dartboards. At that time, he competed with the country's top players. Łukasz Wacławski (born 2 May 1980) is a Poland, Polish entrepreneur, dog trainer and professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events.
