2023 Millrose Games
The 2023 Millrose Games was the 115th edition of the annual indoor track and field meeting in New York City. Held on 11 February, it was the fourth leg of the 2023 World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold series – the highest-level international indoor track and field circuit. The meeting was highlighted by Yared Nuguse running the second-fastest indoor mile run of all time in the Wanamaker Mile. Abby Steiner also set an List of United States records in track and field, American record in the women's 300 metres, and Shawnti Jackson broke the List of United States high school records in track and field, high school record in the women's 60 metres. Career A student at the Texas A&M University, Deadmon was the 2021 SEC Outdoor championship 400 m runner up running 44.50 behind Noah Williams, as well as the 2021 NCAA 400 m runner-up at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon in Eugene running 44.44 to finish behind Randolph Ross. Erik Sowinski (born December 21, 1989) is an American middle-distance runner. He competed in the 800 metres event at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships and 2015 World Championships. He holds the former American indoor record in the 600 meters. Early life Sowinski was born on December 21, 1989 in Waukesha, WI to Bryan and Jane Sowinski. He has two younger siblings, Andy and Emily. Running for Waukesha West High School, Erik won the 800m at the 2008 WIAA Wisconsin State Meet. Drew Hunter (born September 5, 1997) is an American middle distance runner from Purcellville, Virginia, who competes for professional running group Tinman Elite. He set the national indoor mile record for high school boys in 2016. He was named Gatorade National Cross-Country Runner of the Year in 2016. He committed to the University of Oregon on November 12, 2015 but instead decided to pursue a professional career by signing a 10-year contract with Adidas on July 8, 2016. Samuel Prakel (born 29 October 1994) is an American middle- and long-distance runner, who competes for Adidas. His personal best time in the indoor mile is 3:50.94, tied for 13th all-time. He competed collegiately for the Oregon Ducks, where he was a five-time All American and won the 1500m at the 2018 Pac-12 Championships.
