Mario García (runner)
Mario García Romo (born 29 June 1999) is a Spanish middle-distance runner, who specializes in the 1500 metres. He was the national champion in the event in 2022, and he represented Spain in the 1500 m at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships, finishing fourth and sixth. García competed collegiately for the University of Mississippi, where he won a national title in the mile at the 2022 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships. After graduating in 2022, he joined the On Athletics Club as a professional runner for On Running. Early life and collegiate competition García hails from Villar de Gallimazo, a small town in Spain with a population of 200. He relocated to the United States in 2018 to attend the University of Mississippi, pursuing a degree in chemistry. Morgan Beadlescomb (born June 1, 1998) is an American middle-distance and long-distance runner currently representing Adidas. Early Years Beadlescomb attended Algonac High School in Algonac, Michigan. He won the Lower Peninsula D2 Cross Country state finals in 2014 and 2015. On the track he was the 2015 and 2016 Lower Peninsula D2 state champions in the 1600 running 4:13 both years.After his senior year was awarded the Times Herald Male Runner of the Year. Collegiate career After high school he attended Michigan State University for six years earning both a bachelors and a master's degree. The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team. As such, All-America teams are composed of outstanding US amateur players. Individuals falling short of qualifying for the honor may receive All-America honorable mention.
