2023 MPBL All-Star Game
The 2023 MPBL All-Star Game was an exhibition game played on September 16, 2023, during the 2023 season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). It was the fourth edition of the MPBL All-Star Game, which took place at the Bataan People's Center in Balanga, Bataan, the home arena of the Bataan Risers. The North Division won against the South Division for the first time with a score of 99–91. Justine Baltazar was declared the All-Star Game MVP. All-Star Game Coaches The two coaches of each division's highest-ranked team up to that point coached the all-star rosters of their respective divisions. On September 1, 2023, it was revealed that Governor Dennis Pineda of the Pampanga Giant Lanterns would coach the North All-Stars, and Alex Angeles of the Bacoor City Strikers would coach the South All-Stars. Dennis Pineda
Dennis "Delta" Garcia Pineda (born May 6, 1974) is a Filipino politician, basketball head coach and businessman from the province of Pampanga in the Philippines. He currently serves as the Governor of Pampanga. He was a former Vice Governor of the province in the past years, and he was elected in 2019 as the 33rd Governor of the province. Previously, he served as the mayor of Lubao from 2001 until 2010. Coaching career In sport, he is also the head coach of various Pampanga-based basketball teams, most notably, the Pampanga Giant Lanterns of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. The GenSan Warriors are a professional basketball team currently playing in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. It has played in National Basketball Conference from 2007 to 2008 as GenSan MP PacMan Warriors, in Liga Pilipinas from 2008 to 2011 as MP-GenSan Warriors (both of which is in honor of Manny Pacquiao), and in Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League from 2018. Koponang Lakan ng Bulacan is a professional basketball currently playing in the Pilipinas Super League, and formerly in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) and the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3. It was first owned by the Provincial Government of Bulacan, backed by former Bulacan First District Representative Jose Antonio Sy-Alvarado, also known as "Kuya". Jaycee Carlos Marcelino (born October 19, 1995) is a Filipino basketball player for the Zamboanga Family's Brand Sardines of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Kyt Jimenez
Krystoffe Jimenez (born March 21, 1997) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the San Miguel Beermen of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Born in Saudi Arabia, he is just one of two players to achieve a quadruple-double in a Philippine professional basketball game, the other being Donbel Belano. Jimenez played his college career with FEU and Perpetual before suffering multiple injuries. He made his professional debut in 2022 with the Sarangani Marlins of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) before moving to the GenSan Warriors in 2023. During the PBA season 48 draft, Jimenez was drafted by San Miguel in the ninth round with the 76th overall pick. The Imus SV Squad is a Filipino professional basketball team based in Imus, Cavite. The team currently competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as one of six active teams based in the Calabarzon region. The Batangas City Embassy Chill is a professional basketball team currently competing in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) and the Filbasket.
