2023 Columbus Crew Season
The 2023 Columbus Crew season is the club's twenty-eighth season of existence and their twenty-eighth consecutive season in Major League Soccer, the top flight of soccer in the United States. The first match of the season was on February 25 against the Philadelphia Union. It is the first season under head coach Wilfried Nancy. Columbus Crew
The Columbus Crew, formerly known as Columbus Crew SC, is an American professional soccer club based in Columbus, Ohio. The Crew competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the league's Eastern Conference and began play in 1996 as one of the 10 charter clubs of the league. The team is currently operated by an ownership group led by the Haslam family (also owners of the Cleveland Browns and Pilot Corporation) and former team physician Pete Edwards. The Haslam/Edwards group is the third ownership group in club history. The franchise was founded in 1994. Its stadium is Lower.com Field, opened in 2021. Eloy Victor Room (born 6 February 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Major League Soccer club Columbus Crew. Born in the Netherlands, he represents the Curaçao national team.
