2022 Shore Lunch 200
The 2022 Shore Lunch 200 was the 20th and final stock car race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series season, and the 82nd iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, in Toledo, Ohio at Toledo Speedway, a 0.5 mile (0.804 km) permanent oval-shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 200 laps to complete. In an exciting finish with four laps to go, Sammy Smith, driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, would steal the win after moving Jesse Love out of the way with two laps to go. This was Smith's sixth career ARCA Menards Series win, along with his sixth of the season. Jesse Love would dominate the entire race, leading 192 laps. Nick Sanchez, driving for Rev Racing, would claim the 2022 ARCA Menards Series championship, finishing 14 points ahead of second position, which was Daniel Dye. Jesse Love Jr. (born January 14, 2005) is an American stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the ARCA Menards Series in Venturini Motorsports's No. 20 Toyota, excluding 6 events. Love currently holds two records: He is the youngest winner ever in the ARCA Menards Series West, and the youngest winner ever in any NASCAR sanctioned event, both at 15 years, 5 months, and 13 days. Flat Rock is a city mostly in Wayne County of the U.S. state of Michigan. A very small portion of the city extends into Monroe County. At the 2010 census, the city population was 9,878. History Flat Rock began as a Wyandot settlement. It was later designated as a reservation for the Wyandot, and still functioned as such in 1830. Flat Rock Speedway is a race track in Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is located in Ash Township just south of the city of Flat Rock along U.S. Route 24. Opened in 1953, it is owned by ARCA and is the sister track to Toledo Speedway. It features racing on Saturday nights that include Outlaw Body Late Models, Street Stocks, and Figure 8s for its weekly divisions.
