2022 Jordanian Second Division League
The 2022 Jordanian Second Division League started on 4 August 2022 and concluded on 15 October 2022. The league featured 10 teams from the 2021 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2021 Jordan League Division 1, 2021 Division 1: That Ras SC, That Ras and Mansheyat Bani Hasan SC, Mansheyat Bani Hasan, and four new teams promoted from the 2023 Jordanian Third Division: Deir Alla SC, Deir Alla, Shabab Nazal SC, Shabab Nazal, Ghor Al-Safi SC, Ghor Al-Safi, and Rabba Al-Sarhan Club, Rabba Al-Sarhan. Samma FC, Samma won the league title and promoted to the 2024 Jordanian First Division League alongside Umm Al-Qutain SC, Umm Al-Qutain. The Jordanian Second Division League () is a football league that is the third tier of the Jordanian football league system. Al-Tura are the most recent champions in the 2024 season. Format The league consists of 16 teams divided into two groups. The first and second placed teams in each group qualify to the semi-finals, in a two-legged tie. The winner and runner-up are directly promoted to the Jordanian First Division League. The bottom two clubs are relegated to the Jordanian Third Division League. Al-Hashemiya Sports Club () is a Jordanian football club based in Al-Hashimiya, Jordan. It currently competes in the Jordanian First Division League, the second tier of Jordanian football. History Background Clubs around the Zarqa Governorate were seen as having experienced a slow decline in sports, as clubs were seen competing as low as the Jordanian Third Division League. However, this notion has been changing thanks to initiatives such as five-a-side football tournaments that Al-Hashemiya would participate in alongside other districts within Zarqa, such as the tournaments of 2023 and 2024.
