Matt Andersen
Matt Andersen is a Canadian blues guitarist and singer-songwriter from Perth-Andover, New Brunswick. He is a Juno Award nominee. His musical career started in 2002 with the New Brunswick band Flat Top. Career In addition to headlining major festivals, clubs and theatres throughout North America, Europe and Australia, Andersen has shared the stage and toured with Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, Gregg Allman, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Randy Bachman, Little Feat, April Wine, America, Loverboy, Jonny Lang, Serena Ryder, and Beth Hart. Andersen played in over 200 live performances in 2009, including his fourth UK tour. ''Exclaim!'' is a Canadian music and entertainment publisher based in Toronto, which features coverage of new music across all genres with a special focus on Canadian and emerging artists. The monthly ''Exclaim!'' print magazine publishes seven issues per year, distributing over 103,000 copies to over 2,600 locations across Canada. In addition to music, the magazine also covers film and comedy. History ''Exclaim!'' began as a discussion among campus and community radio programmers at Ryerson's CKLN-FM in 1991. It was started by then-CKLN programmer Ian Danzig, together with other programmers and Toronto musicians. The goal of the publication was to support great Canadian music that was otherwise going unheralded. Shawn Austin
Shawn Austin (born January 13, 1989) is a Canadian country singer and songwriter. He has achieved five top ten singles at Canadian country radio, including " Tailgate to Heaven". Early life Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Austin elected to pursue a career in country music due to its "wholesomeness and authenticity", naming Garth Brooks as one of his influences. He stated Stevie Ray Vaughan was the reason he began playing the guitar, and that Michael Bublé's melodies are an influence in his music as well. Career After debuting as an independent artist, Austin signed with Dallas Smith's label Steelhead Music and released the single "Paradise Found" in 2017. Art D'Ecco
Art d'Ecco is the stage name of a Canadian indie rock singer and musician, based in Victoria, British Columbia. His music has been compared to David Bowie, The Cure, and Sparks. d'Ecco's birth name is not currently known to the public, but he has revealed that he was born in Ottawa, Ontario and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. After working as a restaurant line cook in his teens, he began to look into music as a career, playing in the band Speed to Kill with Vancouver musician Jason Corbett. d'Ecco played in bands for a number of years without seeing much progress. Jann Arden (born Jann Arden Anne Richards; March 27, 1962) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, author and actress. She is best known for her signature ballads, " Could I Be Your Girl" and " Insensitive", which is her biggest hit to date, as well as other ballads, such as "Cherry Popsicle" and "I Would Die for You". Early life and education Jann Arden was born in Calgary and moved as a child to Springbank, Alberta, where she attended Springbank Community High School. Arkells is a Canadian rock band, formed in Hamilton, Ontario. In 2006, they signed with Dine Alone Records, and have since signed with Universal Music Canada.
