2022 Grand Prix Of Espoo
The 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo was the sixth event of the 2022–23 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating: a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Espoo Metro Areena in Espoo, Finland, from November 25-27. Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters also earned points toward qualifying for the 2022–23 Grand Prix Final. In April 2022, the ISU cancelled the Rostelecom Cup in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program and the free skating program. Natálie Taschlerová (born 9 December 2001) is a Czech ice dancer. With her brother and skating partner, Filip Taschler, she is the 2020 CS Nebelhorn Trophy, 2020 Nebelhorn Trophy champion and three-time Czech Figure Skating Championships, Czech national champion (2022–23, 2025). They represented the Czech Republic at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Shane Firus (born February 21, 1994) is an ice dancer who represents Ireland and formerly Canada. With his skating partner, Carolane Soucisse, he is a two-time Irish national champion (2023–24).
