2021–22 Calcutta Premier Division
The 2021 Calcutta Football League Premier Division A was the 123rd season of the top state-level football league of West Bengal. It was held between mid-August and November 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to cancel Calcutta League last season, but it was played this year. Changes from last season Rules and regulations *Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic in West Bengal, the tournament format is shortened by adopting a league-cum-knockout format. The 14 participating teams would be divided into two groups and each team would play against all the other teams in their respective groups once. The top three teams from each group would earn a direct quarter final berth. The remaining four teams from each group would play against each other once for the last two quarter final spots. Mohammedan Sporting Club (), commonly referred to as Mohammedan, is an Indian sports club, multi-sports club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Kalighat Milan Sangha Football Club (known simply as Kalighat MS, formerly Kalighat Club) is an Indian multi-sports club based in Kalighat, Kolkata, West Bengal. Henry Kisekka
Henry Kisekka (born 31 August 1989) is an Ugandan professional footballer who plays as a forward. Club career Regarded as an important asset to Dong Nai's attacking line in 2012, he recorded 11 goals, helping his team achieve promotion. Not much later, he received a call up to the Uganda squad ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying rounds. Binh Duong F.C. canceled Henry Kisekka's contract in 2016. Kamo Stephane Bayi (born 17 August 1996) is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a forward for I-League club Real Kashmir. Career Bayi was born in the Ivory Coast, but started his career in Nigeria with Akwa Starlets. In 2016, he moved to India to play for Calcutta Football League side George Telegraph. Kareem Omolaja (born 18 February 1990) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a defender. Biswajit Bhattacharya
Biswajit Bhattacharya is a retired Indian professional footballer and football manager. He most recently managed Calcutta Football League club Calcutta Customs and is the current head coach of West Bengal football team. Playing career East Bengal Bhattacharya played as a striker in the India national football team and played for both the Calcutta Football League clubs East Bengal and Mohun Bagan. In 1985, he won Federation Cup with East Bengal and went on to play at the 1985–86 Asian Club Championship in Saudi Arabia. Managed by P. K. Bimal Ghosh (born 29 June 1956) is an Indian former footballer and football manager, most notable for his 18-year tenure as the Head Coach of Air India Football Club in Mumbai. Calcutta Customs Club is an Indian institutional multi-sports club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. It is best known for its association football, football section, which competes in the Calcutta Football League. History The club was established in 1892 as an institutional club of Calcutta Customs (now known as 'Kolkata Customs').
