Calcutta Customs Club is an Indian institutional multi-sports club based in Kolkata, West Bengal, which is known for its association football section, that competes in the Calcutta Football League. History The club was established in 1892 as an institutional club of Calcutta Customs (now known as 'Kolkata Customs'). During the British rule in India, they achieved success at the IFA Shield, in which the club gained runner-up position in 1908, 1909, 1915, and 1939. In the Calcutta Football League season of 2021–22, Calcutta Customs was managed by Biswajit Bhattacharya. Calcutta Premier Division
The Calcutta Football League (CFL) is a ladder-based football competition in the Indian state of West Bengal, organised by Indian Football Association (WB), under state football leagues in India. Due to sponsorship reasons, the league is officially known as SNU Calcutta Football League, and is the oldest football league in Asia. Indian Football Association (IFA) conducts the CFL with more than 160 mostly Kolkata based clubs and units. Started in 1898, this league is the oldest football league in Asia and regarded as one of the oldest football competitions in the world. Bombay Gold Cup is a field hockey tournament organized by the Mumbai Hockey Association (MHA). It was instituted in 1955 by Naval Tata Naval Hormusji Tata (30 August 1904 – 5 May 1989) was an adopted son of Sir Ratanji Tata and a noted alumni of the Tata Group.
