2020 Utah State Aggies Football Team
The 2020 Utah State Aggies football team represented Utah State University in the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Aggies played their home games at Maverik Stadium in Logan, Utah as members of the Mountain West Conference. Head coach Gary Andersen, who was in his second year back at Utah State (sixth overall), coached the first three games before he was fired after going 0–3. Co-defensive coordinator Frank Maile was named interim head coach. In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Aggies finished the conference-only season 1–5 to finish in 11th place in Mountain West play. Following the season, the school announced Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson would become the team's new head coach. Gary Andersen
Gary Lee Andersen (born February 19, 1964) is an American football coach who was most recently head football coach at Utah State University. Andersen has also been the head football coach of Southern Utah (2003), Wisconsin (2013–2014), and Oregon State (2015–2017). He served three years as the defensive coordinator at Utah, where he coached the 2008 Utes team that went undefeated and beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl to finish the season ranked second in the nation. He is currently an analyst at BYU. Playing career Andersen began his football career playing at Cottonwood High School, where he lettered in football for two years. Adams State University is a public university in Alamosa, Colorado, United States. The university's Adams State Grizzlies athletic teams compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Dave Schramm (American Football)
Dave Schramm (born July 20, 1963) is an American college football coach and former player. He is the offensive coordinator for the University of Mary, a position he has held since 2023. As a student-athlete, Schramm played quarterback for three colleges: Cornell College, Grossmont College, and Adams State College. Coaching career Schramm has spent over 25 years as an assistant coach. Schramm got his start in coaching with Patrick Henry High School in San Diego, California, where he was an assistant coach from 1984 to 1987. Bojay Bruce Feleunga Filimoeatu (born December 6, 1989) is an American football coach and former linebacker who is currently the inside linebackers coach at San Jose State. He played college football at Utah State and played in the NFL briefly for the Oakland Raiders before becoming a college football coach.
