Bojay Filimoeatu
Bojay Bruce Feleunga Filimoeatu (born December 6, 1989) is an American football coach and former linebacker who is currently the inside linebackers coach at San Jose State. He played college football at Utah State and played in the NFL briefly for the Oakland Raiders before becoming a college football coach. Early life and high school career Born in Fontana, California and raised in West Valley City, Utah, Filimoeatu graduated from Granger High School in West Valley City in 2008. He played at linebacker and fullback at Granger. College career Returning to his native California, Filimoeatu began his college football career on the junior college level at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) in Walnut near Los Angeles. Helping Mt. SAC win its second straight state title, Filimoeatu was the 2010 CCCAA Defensive MVP. Fontana, California
Fontana is a city in San Bernardino County, California. Founded by Azariel Blanchard Miller in 1913, it remained essentially rural until World War II, when entrepreneur Henry J. Kaiser built a large steel mill in the area. It is now a regional hub of the trucking industry, with the east–west Interstate 10 and State Route 210 crossing the city and Interstate 15 passing diagonally through its northwestern quadrant. Practice Squad
In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. This is particularly important for professional gridiron football teams, which do not have formal minor league farm team affiliates to train players. Gary Andersen
Gary Lee Andersen (born February 19, 1964) is an American football coach who was most recently head football coach at Utah State University. Andersen has also been the head football coach of Southern Utah (2003), Wisconsin (2013–2014), and Oregon State (2015–2017). He served three years as the defensive coordinator at Utah, where he coached the 2008 Utes team that went undefeated and beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl to finish the season ranked second in the nation. He is currently an analyst at Weber State. Playing career Andersen began his football career playing at Cottonwood High School, where he lettered in football for two years. After high school, he played center at Ricks College (now Brigham Young University–Idaho) in Rexburg, Idaho, for two seasons.
