2020 Turkish Super Cup
The 2020 Turkish Super Cup ( Turkish: TFF Süper Kupa) was the 47th edition of the Turkish Super Cup since its establishment as ''Presidential Cup'' in 1966, the annual Turkish football match contested by the winners of the previous season's top league and cup competitions (or cup runner-up in case the league- and cup-winning club is the same). It was played on 27 January 2021 between the champions of the 2019–20 Süper Lig, İstanbul Başakşehir, and the winners of the 2019–20 Turkish Cup, Trabzonspor. The venue initially selected was Doha, the capital of Qatar. However, the Turkish Football Federation later announced the venue would be changed to the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul. The Turkish Super Cup, known as Turkcell Super Cup () for sponsorship reasons, is a super cup tournament in Turkish football. Founded in 1966 as a two-team competition, the current version has been contested since 2025 by four teams: the winners and runners-up of the Turkish Cup and Süper Lig. It was originally known as the ''Cumhurbaşkanlığı Kupası'' (Presidential Cup) from 1966 to 1998. No competition was held between 1999 and 2005, although there was a substitute competition played under the name of Atatürk Cup in 2000. The rebranded ''TFF Süper Kupa'' is a curtain raiser for the upcoming footballing season, usually taking place in August. In case of a team achieving the double, the Turkish Cup runners-up become finalists. Azubuike Godson Okechukwu (born 19 April 1997) is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for TFF First League club Erzurumspor. Mehmet Topal (born 3 March 1986) is a Turkish professional football manager and former player. A defensive midfielder, he was nicknamed ''Örümcek'' () for his ability to use his long legs to win loose balls or cut passes. Hasan Ali Kaldırım (, born 9 December 1989) is a Turkish professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Wing-back, left wingback for Kayserispor. Alexandru Epureanu (born 27 September 1986) is a Moldovan former professional footballer who played as a centre-back for the Moldova national team. Club career Born in Chișinau, Epureanu joined FC Sheriff Tiraspol in summer 2004. He has won Moldovan Footballer of the Year in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2018. Fehmi Mert Günok (; born 1 March 1989) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Süper Lig club Beşiktaş and the Turkey national team.
