2020 Honda Indy 200
The 2020 Honda Indy 200 was a pair of IndyCar motor races held on September 12, 2020, and September 13, 2020, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. They were the 10th and 11th rounds of the 2020 IndyCar Series season. Both races were contested of 75 laps. The race was originally scheduled to be held on August 16, but was later moved up to August 9. However, it was later postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the race was held as a doubleheader event to make up for cancelled races at Portland and Laguna Seca. The first race was held on September 12, 2020. Will Power won the pole and led all but 9 laps en route to the win. Josef Newgarden finished 2nd, and Alexander Rossi finished 3rd. Graham Rahal and Ryan Hunter-Reay rounded out the top five, and Felix Rosenqvist, Jack Harvey, Rinus VeeKay, Colton Herta, and Scott Dixon rounded out the top ten. Indy 200 At Mid-Ohio
The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio is an IndyCar Series race held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Professional open wheel races at the facility date back to 1970. The U.S. Formula 5000 series ran from 1970 to 1976, and the revived Can-Am series ran from 1977 to 1980. The CART series debuted at the track in 1980, and continued to race there from 1983 to 2003. In 2007, American open wheel racing returned to the venue, when the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series held an event. The race used to be part of a doubleheader with the American Le Mans Series, however in ALMS chose not to return to the track during its final year, 2013. The history of open-wheel races has a unique footnote. The race has been won consecutively on seven occasions, including four times in a row from 1990 to 1997. Andretti Global is an American motorsports organization with teams competing in the IndyCar Series, Indy NXT, Formula E, and joint entries in IMSA and the Australian Supercars Championship. Rinus van Kalmthout (; born 11 September 2000), known professionally as Rinus VeeKay, is a Dutch people, Dutch racing driver. He competes in the IndyCar Series, driving the No. 18 Dallara-Honda for Dale Coyne Racing. Career Karting Van Kalmthout started karting in 2009. The eight-year-old won races in the Four-stroke engine, 4-stroke cadet championship with a DR chassis. He finished second in the championship. During the 2009–2010 winter season, van Kalmthout won the 4-stroke cadet series. Jack Harvey (racing Driver)
Jack Joseph Murray Harvey (born 15 April 1993) is a British auto racing driver who competes part-time in the IndyCar Series, driving the No. 24 Chevrolet for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing with Cusick Motorsports. He is a former member of McLaren's Young Driver Programme. Career Karting Harvey began his kart racing career at the age of nine. In 2006 he won the Motor Sports Association, MSA Super One British title by a single point, and the Kartmasters British Grand Prix, both in the KF3, ICA-J class. Portland International Raceway (PIR) is a motorsport facility in Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is part of the Delta Park complex on the former site of Vanport, just south of the Columbia River. It lies west of the Delta Park/Vanport light rail station and less than a mile west of Interstate 5.
