2020 Austrian Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2020 Austrian motorcycle Grand Prix was the fifth round of the 2020 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season and the fourth round of the 2020 MotoGP World Championship. It was held at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg on 16 August 2020. Brad Binder was the defending MotoGP race winner who aimed for his second consecutive Grand Prix win, having won his and KTM's first race at the previous round. Andrea Dovizioso was the defending race winner, having won the race in 2019. The race was won by Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso with Joan Mir in second for Suzuki, his first podium in MotoGP, while Jack Miller finished third for Pramac Racing. The race day was notable for an unprecedented series of accidents in the MotoGP and Moto2 category respectively. Red Bull Ring
The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Austria, Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Parts of the circuit, including the pits and main grandstand, were demolished, but construction work was stopped and the circuit remained unusable for several years before it was purchased by Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and rebuilt. Raúl Fernández González (born 23 October 2000) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer competing in the MotoGP World Championship with Trackhouse MotoGP Team. His younger brother, Adrián, is also a motorcycle racer. They are not related to MotoGP rider Augusto Fernández. He was 2018 FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Champion. Career Junior career Fernández competed in the 2015 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, finishing 3rd in Brno, 2nd in Misano, and 2nd in Aragón in his rookie campaign, ending the season 7th in the overall standings, with 121 points. Pramac Racing is a motorcycle racing team competing in the MotoGP World Championship based in Casole d'Elsa, Tuscany, Italy. History d'Antin MotoGP The d'Antin MotoGP Team was created in 1999 by Spanish former motorcycle racer Luis d'Antin and was based in Madrid. Beginning in the team raced in the 250 cc Spanish and World Championships with Yamaha bikes and Spanish riders Fonsi Nieto and David García. The 2020 Czech Republic motorcycle Grand Prix was the fourth round of the 2020 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season and the third round of the 2020 MotoGP World Championship. It was held at the Brno Circuit in Brno on 9 August 2020. The 2020 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 72nd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The season was notably characterized by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the absence of perennial title favourite and defending champion Marc Márquez due to a serious arm injury, the high number of wins from different riders, teams and constructors, and the Yamaha engine controversy. John McPhee (born 14 July 1994) is a Scottish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, competing for in the World Supersport Championship for Vince64 by Puccetti Racing. Previously he raced in the 2022 Moto3 World Championship for Max Biaggi's Sterilgarda Husqvarna team.
