2019–20 FK Sarajevo Season
The 2019–20 season was Sarajevo's 71st season in existence, and their 26th consecutive season in the top flight of Bosnian football, the Premier League of BiH. Besides competing in the Premier League, the team also competed in the National Cup. Sarajevo competed in the qualifications for the UEFA Champions League, as well as competing in the qualifications for the UEFA Europa League. The season covers the period from 14 June 2019 to 1 June 2020. In that season, the league ended abruptly on 1 June 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina and by default Sarajevo won their second consecutive league title as the first placed team, also qualifying to the 2020–21 UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds as well. Fudbalski klub Tuzla City (), formerly known as Fudbalski klub Sloga Simin Han, is a professional football club based in Simin Han, Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Halid Šabanović (; born 22 August 1999) is a Bosnian professional association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football)#Full-back, right-back for club Angers SCO, Angers. Selmir Pidro (; born 3 March 1998) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Bosnian Premier League club Velež Mostar on loan from St. Louis City. 2020–21 UEFA Champions League
The 2020–21 UEFA Champions League was the 66th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 29th season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League. Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1–0 in the final, which was played at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto, Portugal, for their second European Cup title. COVID-19 Pandemic In Bosnia And Herzegovina
The COVID-19 pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina was a part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). The virus was confirmed to have reached Bosnia and Herzegovina on 5 March 2020, when a patient in Banja Luka, who had travelled to Italy, tested positive. Later on the same day, a second case, who was the son of the first case, was reported. On 21 March, the first death in the country from COVID-19 was announced in a hospital in Bihać. The patient was an elderly woman who had been hospitalized two days before. On 17 March, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared a state of emergency in the entire country.
