2019 World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event
The 2019 World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event was held December 2–7, 2019 at the Greenacres Curling Club in Howwood, Scotland. It was the inaugural qualification event for the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, which was previously an open entry event. The tournament was open to any World Curling Federation member not already qualified for the 2020 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship The 2020 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was scheduled to be held from April 18 to 25 at the Kelowna Curling Club in Kelowna, Canada. On March 14, 2020, the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jason Chang (born May 25, 1982) is a Hong Kong curler. She has competed at the 2016 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships where she finished with a 2-5 record, and the 2017 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships where she finished in fourth place with a 3-7 record. Klaudius Harsch (born 23 January 2001) is a German curler from Kempten, Germany. Career Harsch made his first appearance at the World Junior-B Curling Championships in 2018. There, his team of Sixten Totzek, Joshua Sutor, Jan-Luca Häg and Till Wunderlich won the bronze medal game, sending them to the 2018 World Junior Curling Championships. At the championship, the team just missed the playoffs with a 4–5 record after losing their final round robin draw to Canada's Tyler Tardi. Their fifth-place finish earned the team a spot at the 2019 World Junior Curling Championships without having to qualify through the B Championship. They did not have a good performance at the 2019 championship, finishing with a 3–6 round robin record and being relegated to the B Championship for the following season. Pia-Lisa Schöll (born 28 March 1991 in Oberstdorf) is a German curler. She is currently the alternate on the German national women's curling team, skipped by Emira Abbes. Career Juniors Schöll played third for Germany, skipped by Frederike Templin at the 2008 World Junior Curling Championships, placing last (10th place). She played third for Germany in four European Junior Curling Challenges (2006, 2008, 2009, 2011), winning the event outright in 2008 (qualifying Germany for the 2008 World Juniors).
