2019 World Archery Championships
The 2019 World Archery Championships were held in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands from 10 to 16 June 2019. The event served as a qualifier for the Archery at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2020 Summer Olympics, with each men's and women's team that made the quarter-finals earning three quota places for the respective team. There were also quota places for the top four individuals in the singles competition, for those who failed to get quotas in the team events. Tarundeep Rai
Tarundeep Rai (born 22 February 1984) is an Indian archer from Sikkim. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2021 by the Government of India for his contribution to sports. He is a three time Olympian. Early life Rai was born in Namchi, Sikkim, India. He is supported by a sports NGO, Olympic Gold Quest. Career Rai made his international debut in 2003 at the age of 19 years at the Asian Archery Championship 2003 held at Yangon, Myanmar. He won India's maiden individual silver medal at the 16th Asian Games on 24 November 2010 in Guangzhou, China. Earlier, he was also a member of the Indian team that won a bronze medal at the 15th Asian Games in Doha in 2006. Vanessa Landi
Vanessa Landi (born 12 September 1997) is an Italian archer competing in women's recurve events. Landi and Mauro Nespoli won the bronze medal in the mixed team recurve event at the 2019 World Archery Championships held in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. At the 2018 European Archery Championships in Legnica, Poland, she won the silver medal in the women's team recurve event and the gold medal in the mixed recurve team event. In 2019, Landi represented Italy at the European Games held in Minsk, Belarus without winning a medal. Mauro Nespoli
Mauro Nespoli (born 22 November 1987, in Voghera) is an Italian archer. He won individual silver at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics and was a member of the Italian teams that won gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics and silver at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Biography Nespoli was born in Voghera (Province of Pavia), the place where he has always lived. He first saw some archers when he was nine, while he was spending his holidays in Aprica (Sondrio). Gabriela Schloesser ( Bayardo, born 18 February 1994) is a Mexican-born Dutch recurve archer from Tijuana who represented Mexico before 2016, and has represented the Netherlands since 2017. Sjef Van Den Berg
Sjef van den Berg (born 14 April 1995) is a retired Dutch competitive archer. He has won a total of two medals (a silver in the individual recurve and a bronze for the Dutch team) at the 2015 European Games, and eventually finished fourth in the men's individual archery at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Van der Berg currently trains at HBV Ontspanning in Sint-Oedenrode, under the tutelage of his coach Ron van der Hoff, a former Olympian at the Athens 2004 edition. Bryony Michaela Pitman (born 13 March 1997) is a British archer competing in women's recurve events. She won the gold medal in the women's recurve team event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus. Naomi Anne Folkard (born 18 September 1983) is a British archer who has represented Great Britain at the Olympic Games five times between 2004 and 2020. She has also represented Great Britain at the World Archery Championships and the Archery World Cup, and England at the Commonwealth Games. Chang Hye-jin (; or ; born 13 May 1987) is a South Korean former Recurve (bow), recurve archer. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, Chang was the Olympic champion in both the women's individual and women's team events at 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
