Bryony Pitman
Bryony Pitman (born 13 March 1997) is a British archer competing in women's recurve events. She won the gold medal in the women's recurve team event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus. Earlier in 2019, she won the bronze medal in the women's team recurve event at the World Archery Championships held in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. In 2014, Pitman competed in the girls' individual and mixed team events at the Summer Youth Olympics held in Nanjing, China. In the individual event, she finished in 14th place in the ranking rounds. She advanced to the elimination rounds where she was eliminated in her first match by Regina Romero of Guatemala. In 2021, Pitman represented Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She competed in the women's individual and women's team events. Brighton
Brighton () is a seaside resort and one of the two main areas of the City of Brighton and Hove in the county of East Sussex, England. It is located south of London. 2022 World Games
The 2022 World Games were an international multi-sport event held from July 7 to 17, 2022, in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. They were the 11th World Games, a multi-sport event featuring disciplines of Olympic sports and other competitions that are not currently contested at the Olympic Games; the Games featured 3,600 athletes competing in 206 medal events over 30 sports. They were originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but were postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The women's team archery event was one of five archery events held at the 2020 Summer Olympics. It was held at Yumenoshima Park, with the ranking round taking place on 23 July and match play on 25 July. South Korea remained undefeated in the Women's team Archery by winning a 9th consecutive gold medal. Background This was the 9th consecutive appearance of the event, which has been held every Games since 1988. Of the 12 teams that competed in 2016, 8 qualified to return, including all four semifinalists (winner South Korea, silver medalist Russia (competing as "Russian Olympic Committee" athletes this Games), bronze medalist Chinese Taipei, and fourth-place finisher Italy).
