2019 Jordan League Division 1
The 2019 Jordan League Division 1 started on 11 February 2019 and concluded on 4 May 2019. The league featured 10 teams from the 2017–18 campaign, two new teams relegated from the 2017–18 Premier League: Al-Yarmouk and Mansheyat Bani Hasan, and two new teams promoted from the 2017–18 Jordan League Division 2: Ma'an and Amman. Sahab won the league title and promoted to 2020 Jordanian Pro League along with Ma'an. Shabab Al-Hussein and Al-Wahda were relegated to the 2020 Jordan League Division 2. Teams A total of 14 teams are contesting the league, including 10 sides from the 2017–18 season, two relegated from the 2017–18 Premier League, and two promoted from the 2017–18 Jordan League Division 2. Jordan League Division 1
The Jordanian First Division League () is the second-level football (soccer), football competition in Jordan. Sama Al-Sarhan SC, Sama Al-Sarhan are the most recent champions in the 2024–25 Jordanian First Division League, 2024–25 season. Promotion and relegation The winner and runner-up are promoted to the Jordanian Pro League directly. The bottom two clubs are relegated to the Jordanian Second Division League. Al-Jalil SC (Irbid)
Al-Jalil Sports Club () is a football club based in Irbid, Jordan, which competes in the Jordanian Second Division League, the third tier of Jordanian football. History Al-Jalil SC was founded in 1952 and was named after the Galilee region in Palestine, which includes areas of Northern Palestine, such as Nazareth, Tiberias, Safed, and more. It was formed by the people of Irbid Camp. The club aimed to provide the social, cultural and sporting aspect to the Irbid Camp community. Throughout its history, the club played a national role in promoting the Palestinain cause and the right to return, and has carried out many activities for their community. It is best known for their football, as well as their basketball programs. Other programs include table tennis, chess, weightlifting and boxing. Irbid (), known in ancient times as Arabella or Arbela (Άρβηλα in Ancient Greek language, Ancient Greek), is the capital and largest city of Irbid Governorate. It has the second-largest metropolitan population in Jordan after Amman, with a population of around 2,003,800. As a city, Irbid is Jordan's third-largest, after Amman and Zarqa. Al-Karmel Sports Club () is a Jordanian football club which is based in Husn Camp, Al-Husn Camp, near the city of Irbid. The football club currently competes in the Jordanian Second Division League, the third tier of Football in Jordan, Jordanian football. It hosts a football club, as well as a volleyball club. Ittihad Al-Ramtha () is a Jordanian football club based in Ar Ramtha, Ramtha, Jordan. It currently competes in the Jordanian First Division League, the second tier of Football in Jordan, Jordanian football. Al-Tura Sports Club () is a Jordanian football club based in Al-Turrah, Jordan. It will compete in the Jordanian First Division League, the second tier of Jordanian football, as a result of the Jordan Football Association exempting the club from punishment the previous season.
