Obedingwa Mguni
Obedingwa Mguni (1 December 1962 – 18 June 2019) was a Zimbabwean politician who was a member of parliament representing the Mangwe constituency from 2013 to 2019. Background He was Deputy Minister of Home Affairs in Zimbabwe (2015–2017), and the 9th Parliament of Zimbabwe’s ZANU PF Parliamentary Deputy Chief Whip. He was also ZANU PF's Provincial Treasurer in Mat. South. He was also the chair of Democratisation, Good Governance and Human Rights in Southern African Development Community (SADC) Parliament. Born on 1 December 1962, he was married to Hlalani Mguni (M. 1993) and together they had three children Doris, Bongani and Simphiwe. Political career Mguni took part in the Rhodesian Bush War between 1975 and 1980. From Empandeni he went to Zambia where he attended Mkushi College before he went to Libya for guerrilla training. Dumiso Dabengwa
Dumiso Dabengwa (6 December 1939 – 23 May 2019) was a Zimbabwean politician. He served as the head of Zimbabwe People's Revolutionary Army (ZIPRA) intelligence during the Rhodesian Bush War.Godwin, Peter. ''Mukiwa: A White Boy in Africa'', 2005. Page 331. Political career During the Rhodesian Bush War the white minority nicknamed him the "Black Russian" because he trained in Moscow, Russia. From 1992 to 2000 he served in the government as Minister of Home Affairs, and in 1991 he was appointed to the chair of the Matabeleland Zambezi Water Project. From 2003 to 2010 he was placed on the United States sanctions list. Dabengwa ran as a ZANU-PF candidate for a seat in the House of Assembly from Nkulumane in the 2000 election, but was defeated by Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) candidate Gibson Sibanda. Buzwani Mothobi
Buzwani Donald Mothobi (22 August 1939 – 27 February 2019) was a Zimbabwean diplomat, academic, and civil servant. Early life Mothobi was born in Nyamandhlovu, Zimbabwe on 22 August 1939. He graduated from both the University of Toronto and Carleton University. Career Between 1976 and 1977, Mothobi was a lecturer in the department of political science at the University of Rhodesia (now University of Zimbabwe). From 1994 to 1998, Mothobi served as the Zimbabwean ambassador to Japan and South Korea. From 1998 to 2001, Mothobi served as High Commissioner to Kenya and Uganda. While in Kenya, Mothobi also served as a representative to the United Nations Environment Programme.
