2019 German Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2019 German motorcycle Grand Prix was the ninth round of the 2019 MotoGP season. It was held at the Sachsenring in Hohenstein-Ernstthal on 7 July 2019. This round featured the first MotoE race. The class was originally meant to make its début at Jerez, but a fire in the paddock during pre-season testing destroyed all 18 bikes that were prepared and the Jerez round was cancelled along with the Le Mans round. Sachsenring
The Sachsenring () is a motorsport race track, racing circuit located in Hohenstein-Ernstthal near Chemnitz in Saxony, Germany. Among other events, it features the annual German motorcycle Grand Prix of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championship. The Energica Ego is an electrically propelled sport road motorcycle designed and marketed by Energica Motor Company. It is claimed by Energica to be the world's first street-legal electric Italian sport motorcycle. The prototype was finished in 2013 and the vehicle came into the market in 2015. 2019 MotoGP Season
The 2019 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 71st F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. After fifteen rounds of the championship, Marc Márquez successfully defended his Rider's Championship in Thailand taking his sixth premier class title and fourth in a row, having already won nine races. He ultimately won 12 races, breaking the single-season points and podium records with 420 points and 18 podium finishes from 19 races. Andrea Dovizioso once again finished second for Ducati for the third consecutive season with two wins, and Maverick Viñales with Yamaha sealed third with two wins.
