2019 Dally M Awards
The 2019 Dally M Awards were presented on Wednesday 2 October 2019. They are the official annual awards of the National Rugby League and are named after Dally Messenger. Dally M Medal Dally M Player of the Year: James Tedesco Dally M Awards The Dally M Awards are, as usual, conducted at the close of the regular season and hence do not take games played in the finals series into account. As well as honouring the player of the year, who received the Dally M Medal, awards are also given to the premier player in each position, the best coach, the best captain, representative player of the year and the most outstanding rookie of the season. Mitchell Pearce
Mitchell Pearce (born 7 April 1989) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played as a for the Catalans Dragons in the Super League. He previously played for Sydney Roosters, with whom he won the 2013 NRL Grand Final and Newcastle Knights in the NRL. Pearce has played for City Origin, New South Wales in the State of Origin series, the Prime Minister's XIII and the NRL All Stars side. Early life Pearce was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He is the son of the ARL commissioner, former Balmain Tigers legend, New South Wales and Australian international Wayne Pearce. 2019 State Of Origin Series
The 2019 State of Origin series was the 38th State of Origin series, annual best-of-three series between the Queensland rugby league team, Queensland and New South Wales rugby league team, New South Wales rugby league teams. Before this series, Queensland had won 21 times, NSW 14 times, with two series drawn. Peter Frilingos
Peter Frilingos (1944–2004) was a sports journalist and commentator, best known for his work as a rugby league writer. Frilingos started his career in journalism in February 1962 at the Sydney ''Daily Mirror'' and within two years he wrote his first piece on rugby league. Frilingos soon became one of the leading rugby league writers in Sydney. In 1996 he transferred to the ''Daily Telegraph''. His reporting methods and integrity came under severe scrutiny during the Super League war. While he originally supported the ARL, he began openly endorsing Super League after a closed door meeting with News Limited management. Maika Sivo
Maika Sivo (born 3 October 1993) is a Fijian professional rugby league footballer who plays for the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League, and represents Fiji at international level. Background Sivo grew up in Momi Bay, Fiji and played rugby union until 2014 when he was 22. Sivo first played rugby league for the Gundagai Tigers in 2015 before playing for St. Mary's in the Ron Massey Cup. He then moved to the Mounties signing with their NSW Cup team in 2016, scoring 35 tries. Craig Bellamy (rugby League)
Craig Bellamy (born 3 October 1958) is an Australian professional rugby league football coach who is the head coach of the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League (NRL), and a former professional rugby league footballer. He has previously coached the New South Wales State of Origin team. Bellamy started his coaching career as assistant coach to Wayne Bennett at the Brisbane Broncos. He also writes a column for ''The Australian''. Bellamy played his entire NSWRL premiership career with the Canberra Raiders during the 1980s, and 1990s. Paul Momirovski (born 19 July 1996) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played as a and er for the Lézignan Sangliers in the Super XIII He previously also played for the Sydney Roosters, before playing for the Wests Tigers, Melbourne Storm and Penrith Panthers in the National Rugby League. In season 2020 he was on loan to Melbourne in the NRL. Wests Tigers
The Wests Tigers is an Australian professional rugby league football team, based in the Inner West of Sydney and South Western Sydney. The Tigers have competed in the National Rugby League (NRL) since being formed at the end of the 1999 NRL season as a joint-venture club between the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Wests Tigers started playing in the 2000 NRL season and they won their maiden premiership in 2005. The club also won the final edition of the World Sevens in 2004. Josh Jackson (born 8 January 1991) is a former Australian professional rugby league footballer who played as a forward and was the captain of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the NRL. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. They compete in the NRL Telstra Premiership, as well as competitions facilitated by the New South Wales Rugby League, including the NSW Cup, the Jersey Flegg Cup, NSWRL Women's Premiership, Tarsha Gale Cup, S.
