2018–19 Ukrainian Second League
The 2018–19 Ukrainian Second League was the 28th since its establishment. The competition started on 21 July 2018 with the match between Myr and FC Nikopol. The competition entered in recess for a winter break which started after the completion of Round 17 on 11 November 2018 and resumed on 31 March 2019. The season competitions were scheduled to be completed on 1 June 2019 (later ending on 25 May 2019 due to reduction of participants) culminating with a two legged play-off for promotion held between the two second place from both groups and the 13th and 14th placed teams from the 2018–19 Ukrainian First League on 29 May and 2 June 2019. Format The PFL composition of the league was approved at the PFL Conference on 27 June 2017, yet the final composition with the competition regulations will be approved later by the FFU Executive Committee. Ukrainian Second League
The Ukrainian Second League (, ''Druha Liha'') is a professional football league in Ukraine which is part of the Professional Football League of Ukraine, a collective member of the Ukrainian Association of Football. As the third tier it was established in 1992 as the Transitional League and changed its name the next season. The league is lower than the Ukrainian First League (''Persha Liha'') and the lowest level of professional football competitions in the country. Since 1996 the league, after being merged with its lower tier (in 1992–1995 there was the Third League), consists of two main regions roughly north-west and south-east. 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League
The 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League was the 29th since its establishment. On 6 June 2019 the PFL council of leagues presented its plan draft ("contours") for the next season for both its First and its Second leagues. The final decision for the season was adopted at the 27th PFL Conference that took place on 27 June 2019. Summary The season kicked off on 27 July 2019 along with the First League. Both groups A and B completed their double round-robin tournament on 23 November 2019 before going on winter break. Following the break the spring half of the season that should have started on 21 March 2020 and featured another single round-robin tournament ending on 23 May 2020. Okhtyrka
Okhtyrka (, ; ) is a city in Sumy Oblast, Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of Okhtyrka Raion within the oblast. Okhtyrka was once home to Hussars and Cossacks. It was also in the past a regional seat of the Sloboda Ukraine Imperial Region and of the Ukrainian SSR. Since the discovery of oil and gas in 1961, Okhtyrka has come to be known as the "oil capital" of Ukraine. FC Naftovyk-Ukrnafta Okhtyrka
Football Club Naftovyk Okhtyrka is a Ukraine, Ukrainian amateur association football, football club based in Okhtyrka, Sumy Oblast, where it was founded in 1980. The name of the club means "oiler" in Ukrainian. Ukrnafta company owned the club between 2004 and 2018. The club was dissolved in July 2018, but refounded again in 2020. FC Nyva Vinnytsia is a Ukrainian professional association football, football club based in the city of Vinnytsia. The name "Nyva" translates to "grain field". Rivne Oblast (), also referred to as Rivnenshchyna (), is an administrative divisions of Ukraine, oblast in western Ukraine. Its administrative center is Rivne. The surface area of the region is . FC Lviv
FC Lviv () is a Ukrainian professional football club from the city of Lviv. The history of the club is very controversial and was interrupted on numerous occasions. The first club under such name entered professional competitions back in 1992. In 2001 that club was merged with Karpaty Lviv. The second club appeared in 2006 replacing insolvent Hazovyk-Skala out of Stryi (not far from Lviv) in the second tier. In such manner the new club skipped few tiers of the national football pyramid. That club became bankrupt in 2012. Few years later in 2016 the club was revived based on its football academy. 2017–18 Ukrainian Premier League
The 2017–18 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 27th top level football club competitions since the fall of the Soviet Union and the tenth since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. The tournament started on 16 July 2017 and ended on 19 May 2018. The relegation play-offs took place on 23 May and 26 May 2018. The league has scheduled to take its winter intermission after Round 19 on 9–10 December 2017 and resume its competition of the Championship with Round 20 on 17 February 2018. 2017–18 Ukrainian First League
The 2017–18 Ukrainian First League was the 27th since its establishment. The competition commenced on 14 July 2017 when Zhemchuzhyna Odesa hosted MFC Mykolaiv. After the completion of Round 22 on 18 November 2017, the competition entered a winter break and resumed the spring session on 18 March 2018 and complete the competition on 19 May 2018. Teams On 21 June 2017, it was announced that 16 or 18 teams would play in the competition. This decision was dependent on the possible withdrawal of FC Stal Kamianske from the Premier League. Due to sanctions, FC Dnipro was relegated directly to the Second League which raised a discussion of a promotion possibly of another club to the First League. 2017–18 Ukrainian Football Amateur League
The 2017–18 Ukrainian Football Amateur League season was the 22nd since it replaced the competition of physical culture clubs. The competition started on 5 August 2017. On 1 August 2017, the AAFU at its website announced the "season's contours". In explanation, AAFU disclosed that it has intention to conduct the competition in three groups that are split based on geographic principle and start it at the end of that week, while the composition of only two groups was confirmed.
