FC Nyva Vinnytsia is a Ukrainian professional association football, football club based in the city of Vinnytsia. The name "Nyva" translates to "grain field". The club was originally created in 1958 in the Soviet Union and folded in 2005 and 2012, but was reformed again in 2015 as Nyva-V and renamed back to Nyva in 2018. Tsentralnyi Stadion (Vinnytsia)
Central City Stadium (, Tsentralnyi miskyi stadion) is a multi-use stadium in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches, and is the home of FC Nyva Vinnytsia and FC Vinnytsia. The stadium holds 24,000 people. History The stadium was built after World War II in 1949 by workers of Vinnytsia city and Southwestern Railways and was named as Lokomotyv (Lokomotyv Stadium). Before 1972, its capacity was 12,000 spectators. During 1972-1980, the stadium was completely renovated. There was built the stadium's bowl of reinforced concrete, installed lighting towers, radio communication, information screen, and seating capacity increased to 24,000 spectators. During the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, the stadium was hosting the Olympic flame as part of the 1980 Summer Olympics torch relay. The Soviet Second League (, Soviet football championship (Second League)) was the third highest division of Soviet Union, Soviet football (soccer), football, below the Soviet First League. The league was formed in 1971 in place of the Class A Second Group of the Soviet football championship just a year after the division was downgraded to the third tier. Bershad
Bershad (, ; ) is a city in Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine, located in the historic region of Podolia. Until 2020 it was the administrative center of the former Bershad Raion. History The first extant mention of Bershad appears in 1459. It was a private town of Poland, owned by the families of Zbaraski and Moszyński. Polish nobleman Piotr Stanisław Moszyński built a palace complex in Bershad. The only remaining parts of the complex are the park and the chapel of the Moszyński and Jurjewicz families.
