FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk () is a Ukrainian professional Association football, football club that was based in the city of Donetsk until 2014 when, due to the War in Donbas (2014–2022), War in Donbas, the club was forced to move to Lviv, and played matches in Lviv (2014–2016) and in Kharkiv (2017–2020) whilst having its office headquarters and training facilities in Kyiv. In May 2020, Shakhtar started to play home matches at Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex, NSC Olimpiyskyi in Kyiv. For the 2023–24 season, Shakhtar will now play home matches once again at Arena Lviv. Shakhtar has appeared in several European competitions and is often a participant in the UEFA Champions League. Mykola Oleksandrovych Matviyenko (; born 2 May 1996) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back or left-back for Shakhtar Donetsk and the Ukraine national team. Club career Matvienko was born in Saky, AR Crimea, Ukraine. He is a product of the Shakhtar Donetsk youth sportive school and signed a contract with the Ukrainian Premier League club in 2013. He played three years for the Shakhtar Donetsk youth team in the Ukrainian Premier League Reserves Championship and in summer 2015 was promoted to the main-squad team in the Ukrainian Premier League. Ivan Mykolaiovych Ordets (; born 8 July 1992) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back. He is a former Ukraine national team player. Club career Ordets started playing football at school age. He went on trial to Shakhtar Donetsk on 2 September 2002 and after two stages of selection he was enrolled in the group of Petro Ponomarenko. Davit Khocholava ( ka, დავით ხოჭოლავა, tr, ; born 8 February 1993) is a Georgian retired professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career Early years Born in Tbilisi, Khocholava started his career in Saburtalo, where his first manager was Giorgi Devdariani. Later some of the members of his team, including Valeri Kazaishvili, Giorgi Chanturia and Lasha Parunashvili, became Georgia internationals. Khocholava was a striker during his youth career.
