2018 WDF Europe Cup
The 2018 WDF Europe Cup will be the 21st edition of the WDF Europe Cup organised by the World Darts Federation. The tournament will be held first time in history at the MOM Center in Budapest, Hungary. Medals were distributed in eight disciplines (singles, pairs, teams and overalls) appropriately for each of the sex. 38 nations participated in this tournament (in four cases only men's representation). Nigel Heydon
Nigel Heydon (born 22 July 1970) is an English professional darts player who plays in British Darts Organisation (BDO) events. Career Heydon qualified for the 2007 UK Open as an amateur qualifier, losing in the first round to John Burton. He also reached the last 40 of the 2009 World Masters. Heydon joined the PDC in 2010, and quickly made an impact, reaching a semi-final in his second Pro Tour event in Gibraltar. He also qualified for the 2010 UK Open. Kostas Pantelidis (born 11 November 1985, in Athens) is a Greek professional darts player who competes in British Darts Organisation. He has qualified for the 2016 BDO World Darts Championship. Career General In May 2011 Kostas won the Greek National Championships and the Mediterranean Cup. In 2014 he won the Hellinikon Open, beating John Michael in the final. John Michael (darts Player)
John Michael (born Yannis Michail, 20 March 1974) is a Cypriot-born Greek darts player playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career PDC He joined the PDC in 2009, and began competing in PDC Europe events a year later. He qualified for the 2011 European Championship, therefore becoming the first Greek player to qualify for a major PDC tournament. He was beaten 3-6 by defending champion Phil Taylor in the first round, with Taylor averaging 107.83. BDO He joined the BDO in 2012. Dylan Duo (born 24 November 1977) is a Gibraltarian professional darts player who has played in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Duo qualified for the 2010 PDC World Darts Championship via the European Order of Merit. He became the first darts player from Gibraltar to qualify for either version of the World Darts Championship. In the first round, he was whitewashed 3–0 by Vincent van der Voort. Irina Armstrong
Irina Armstrong (russian: Ирина Армстронг) née Loginova (born 6 December 1970) is a Russian-born German female professional darts player who currently plays in the World Darts Federation (WDF) events. Her biggest achievement to date was advanced to semi-finals in the 2011 BDO World Darts Championship. She is a gold medalist in pairs competitions during the WDF World Cup and WDF Europe Cup. Career Armstrong started out playing ten-pin bowling until she was pregnant and decided to pick up darts. From then, she has quickly risen to be one of the top women players in the world. Ricardo Pietreczko (born 20 October 1994), nicknamed "Pikachu", is a German professional darts player who currently plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is a German Champion and bronze medalist of the WDF World Cup. Thibault Tricole (born 11 October 1989) is a French professional darts player who currently plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is a first French player to advance to final of the World Darts Championship and most successful darts player to come from France. Jacques Labre (born 6 November 1982) is a French professional steel-tip and soft-tip darts player who currently plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Marko Kantele (born 24 August 1968 in Mäntyharju) is a Finnish darts player. Career Kantele made his major debut in the 1997 Winmau World Masters, beating defending champion Colin Monk in the first round but lost in the second round to Mark Day. Ulf Ceder (born 17 April 1974) is a Finnish former professional darts player. Career Ceder reached the first round of the 1996 Winmau World Masters where he lost to Roland Scholten. Ceder then reached the last 32 stage of the 2004 WDF Europe Cup, defeating John Walton before losing to Robert Wagner. Fallon Sherrock (born 2 July 1994) is an English professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Born in Milton Keynes, Sherrock reached the final of the 2015 BDO Women's World Darts Championship, where she was runner-up to Lisa Ashton.
