Ulf Ceder
Ulf Ceder (born 17 April 1974) is a Finnish former professional darts player. Career Ceder reached the first round of the 1996 Winmau World Masters where he lost to Roland Scholten. Ceder then reached the last 32 stage of the 2004 WDF Europe Cup, defeating John Walton before losing to Robert Wagner. He then won the 2005 Finland National Championship, beating Kim Viljanen in the final. Ceder qualified for the 2006 BDO World Darts Championship, winning one of six places in the international playoffs. He was beaten in the first round 3–1 by Scotland's Mike Veitch. In 2008, Ceder attempted to make a return to the World Championship by entering the PDC's Finnish Qualifying Event, in a bid to become Finland's first ever qualifier in the PDC World Darts Championship but lost in the semi-final stage. Mike Veitch
Michael Veitch (born 15 August 1960) is a Scottish former professional darts player. Career He made his televised debut at the 1990 Embassy World Championship losing in the first round to Brian Cairns, but it would be another 12 years before he returned to the Lakeside Country Club to play at the tournament again. He has won several non-televised Open events including the Scottish Open in 2004, the Welsh Classic in 2005 and the England Open in 2006 – but has failed to make an impression in the World Championship. His best run at Lakeside came in 2006 when he beat Ulf Ceder and Stephen Roberts before losing to Martin Adams in the quarter-finals. In 2016, Veitch played mostly on the PDC Challenge Tour Circuit. Jani Haavisto (born 11 May 1987) is a Finnish former professional darts player. Career Haavisto won two events on the Professional Darts Corporation's Scandinavian Tour in 2012, finishing second in the Order of Merit to qualify for the 2013 PDC World Darts Championship. The PDC World Darts Championship, known for sponsorship purposes as the Paddy Power World Darts Championship is a world championship competition held annually in the sport of darts. The championship begins in December and ends in January and has been held at Alexandra Palace in London, since 2008. Organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), it is the most prestigious of their tournaments, with the winner receiving the Sid Waddell Trophy, named in honour of the darts commentator Sid Waddell. 2006 BDO World Darts Championship
The 2006 Lakeside World Professional Darts Championship was held from 7 to 15 January 2006 at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey. Defending champion Raymond van Barneveld was aiming to win a fifth BDO world title, equalling the record set by Eric Bristow. However, he was beaten 7–5 in the final by Dutch qualifier Jelle Klaasen; the final was the first and only World Darts Championship final to not feature a British player. Klaasen became the youngest World Champion at age 21 and became the first qualifier to win the World Championship since Keith Deller in 1983, who became the youngest World Champion himself, aged 23. Kim Viljanen (born 4 December 1981) is a Finnish darts player. Career Viljanen won the boys' singles event at the 1999 WDF World Cup in Durban, South Africa. In 2004, he progressed to the last 32 of the World Masters, losing 3–2 to Tony West. Viljanen competed on the Scandinavian Darts Corporation (SDC) Tour in 2014, and finished third in the Scandinavian Order of Merit. He was awarded a place in the 2015 PDC World Championship after Jarkko Komula, who had finished second on the Scandinavian Tour, was excluded following a suspension by the Finnish Darts Organisation. Robert Wagner (born 14 June 1965) is a former Austrian-born Norwegian professional darts player nicknamed The Magician. Career Wagner has played in the Lakeside World Championship four times, reaching the last 16 on three occasions. In 2003, he beat Gary Robson in the first round before going out after losing to Erik Clarys.
