The 2018 Nottingham Open (also known as the Nature Valley Open for sponsorship purposes) was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts in Nottingham, United Kingdom. It was the 11th edition of the event for women and the 23rd edition for men. It was classified as a WTA International tournament on the 2018 WTA Tour for the women, and as an ATP Challenger Tour event for the men. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International tournaments was a category for tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. As of 2021 these events have been reclassified as WTA 250 tournaments. The winner of a WTA 250 tournament adds 250 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2025 WTA Tour, 2025 season, there were 20 WTA 250, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,094. Peter Polansky ( ; born June 15, 1988) is a Canadian professional tennis player of Czech origin. He was Canada's top singles player from June 21, 2010, until January 17, 2011, in the Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP rankings. He was also Canada's No. 2 from August 4, 2008, until June 21, 2010, with the exception of one week. Dominik Koepfer (born 29 April 1994), also spelled Köpfer, is a German professional tennis player. Brayden Schnur (born July 4, 1995) is a Canadian former professional tennis player. He reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 92 in August 2019. Daniel Evans (born 23 May 1990) is a British professional tennis player from England. He has been ranked as high as world No. 21 in singles by the ATP, which he achieved on 7 August 2023. George Loffhagen (born 19 April 2001) is a British professional tennis player. He has a career high ATP singles ranking of world No. 298 achieved on 9 June 2025. He has won six ITF singles titles.
