2018 LINAFOOT (Chad)
The 2018 LINAFOOT was the 2nd season of the Chad Premier League, LINAFOOT, the top Chadian league for association football clubs since its establishment in 2015. Unlike the 1st LINAFOOT edition (in 2015) organised as a full national championship and won by Gazelle FC, this edition was organized under the play-off formula. The season started on 15 September 2018 and concluded on 7 October 2018. The twelve teams were divided into two groups of six teams. The matches were played at three stadiums: Stade d'Académie de Farcha, Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya and Stade de Paris-Congo. All matches were being played at 03:30 p.m. local time. Elect-Sport FC won their fifth Chadian title. Abou Deco (AS CotonTchad) was the league topscorer with 14 goals; Mbangousoum Éric was voted the best player; Francis Oumar Belonga (Elect-Sport FC) was voted the best coach. Chad Premier League
Chad Premier League (, also known as LINAFOOT) is a Chadian league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Chadian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 12 clubs, it is organized under the play-off formula. Unlike the 1st LINAFOOT edition (in 2015) organised as a full national championship and won by Gazelle FC, the last four editions were organized under the play-off formula. Since the inception of the Chad Premier League in 1988, eight clubs have won the title: Renaissance FC, Renaissance (7), Elect-Sport FC, Elect-Sport (7), Tourbillon FC, Tourbillon (5), Gazelle FC, Gazelle (4), Foullah Edifice FC, Foullah Edifice (3), AS CotonTchad (2), Postel 2000 (2), Renaissance FC (Abéché), Renaissance (Abéché) (2). Gazelle FC
Gazelle FC is a football club from Chad based in N'Djamena. The club currently plays in the Chad Premier League, the top flight of Chadian football. Gazelle FC was founded on May 16, 1972, in the capital city of N'Djamena. The club has won four national titles and six national cup titles. The club's colors are traditionally black and white. History Founded in 1972, the club played in Chadian second ligue from 1972 to 1973. In 1973–1974 season, the team secured promotion to the First Division. Foullah Edifice Football Club is a football club based in N'Djamena, Chad. They had a few Chadian national team players, like Mbaya Brice, Massama Asselmo, Ferdinand Gassina and Hassan Hissein. The club's colours are sky blue and white. History Foullah Edifice won the national championship in 2011, 2013 and 2014. In 2011, they played in a Cup and Supercup final, which they lost to RFC. Tourbillon FC is a football (soccer) club from Chad based in N'Djamena. The club has won Chad Premier League title 6 times, they play their home matches at Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya. The club is owned by Iranian entrepreneur Mohammad Reza Laghaei (DJ Tourbillon), who is also a former footballer. History Tourbillon FC was created in 1970. Elect-Sport FC () is a football (soccer) club from Chad based in N'Djamena. It plays its home matches on Stade Omnisports Idriss Mahamat Ouya in N'Djamena. The club's colours are traditionally yellow and black. History The club has won national championship 7 times; in 1988, 1990, 1992, 2008, 2018, 2019 and 2022. The club has also won Coupe de Ligue de N'Djaména 2 times, in 2012 and 2014. In 2015 the club was among the entrants to preliminary round of CAF Confederation Cup where they played against Libyan Al-Ittihad Tripoli. In the first match in Libya, Al-Ittihad won 6–1. In the return leg in N'Djamena Al-Ittihad won 1–0 and ruled out Elect from the competition.
